Wonder if he’ll go through the 3 stages of wine-making.
There are some weird “not allowed” areas on this ET for the waiter disguise. The guards will stop you from entering the theater and the grape crusher area, but if you sneak in a different way, you won’t be trespassing in that area.
Well, just finished it. On first look it looks like an easy ET, the target isolates a lot (special mention for sitting outside the cinema, and all the other less blatant ones, just asking for the propane flask).
But then it becomes apparent that it’s more of a story based elusive target. I don’t think there is any placed/environemental accident on the normal routing. I like it, even if the whole “this man is toxic af but we have to put on with it and hoping that not giving him anything will be enough but good lord is he ready to crack at a moment’s notice” is oppresive af. Many of you already mentioned the way it works out : scrapbook, poison.
Still a few things I experimented with : knocking one of the couple leaving the other with the target does gives a one time bark but does not change the routine of the target or gives more dialogues. Turning on the projector in the cinema while they are present doesn’t have any impact.
Special mention to the repurposed “restarting a generator” animation into a “I am frustrated and kicking this flower pot” animation.
Finally I was able to do what I wanted for the lust season : I did the target with my “social run” requirements : walking only, no crouching, no vaulting, no knock out, no thrown distraction, default start, placed disguised only, no item displacements
The ninth one of my ‘SASO No Ko No Emetics Fiber Wire’ on Elusive Targets series.
And another one for the count
Killed him with the ICA Axe in the cinema. The couple walked away after I kept him a good amount of time distracted in the yard. Got spotted killing him and all. Fuck it. I got a call to work so I’m in a hurry anyway. Still hope for Euler’s video on it since the few dialogue I catched was nice.
This has to be hands-down my favorite ET (from the new ones). Everything I love is in it: additional NPCs that add onto the story, unique mission opportunity, additional guard placements that made me question if I’m tripping or not, and everything in between! Philo was fun to follow around and watch him act composed yet stalkerish all in the same area.
I just threw a scalpel at him. I wanted to do a serpent-bite-explosion-knockout-into-hatchet thing, but I didn’t know what area I’d do that in.
However, I wonder what happens if you kill Phoebe/Michelle and let Philo and the surviving bride-to-be find their body. It would be cool if Philo comforts Michelle over Phoebe’s death/Philo blames Phoebe over Michelle’s death! Definition of a heartbreaker, for sure.
Im fully on team make ETs replayable with rewards. It doesnt make sense to me that the point of them is to provide a new thing to enjoy that week but you cant play it multiple times within that week
In both cases Philo goes to do his cinema wine route while the surviving partner goes to sit on a bench to be heartbroken
I was happily surprised to see that there was, in fact, extra dialogue in these edge cases!
Assuming I don’t have the names mixed up, if Michelle dies, Philo has some monologue saying something along the lines of him not deserving this, while if Phoebe dies, Philo complains that her death was too early, and that Michelle will be mourning her for years
Very cool to see something akin to the collector, where he had dialogue to react to Alexa’s death. Really shows the great amount of work put into this target.
I think we should wait until they roll out every ET in Hitman 3. Maybe IO is keeping it until then
Thanks for finding this. I personnally eliminated them discretly and I just had the “they are missing but I just think they wandered off” one off dialogues. In which case they continue on the normal routine, just with shorter dialogue as one half is missing.
In return, I had not heard the dialogue that you have mentioned, so thank you as well
Just finished this, and enjoyed it, though it turned out quicker than most of my playthroughs because I stumbled across Newcombe’s truck in the parking lot while going to get a banana (I usually run around for at least 20 minutes collecting poisons and tools and looking for the target before even finding them).
I picked up all of the stuff in the van, figuring that one of his tools (poison or scalpel) would be a proper way for him to die. To be able to properly administer the poison I went for a waitor’s disguise before looking for Newcombe. I ran into him and two followers… but I quickly got rid of the followers with the scrapbook.
Snuck into the theater (or whatever it is) when I saw him head down, and was attempting to get rid of one of the workers (enforcers for the waitor’s disguise) down there by turning on Vidal’s movie as a distraction, but instead it pulled Newcombe.
Quickly slit his throat with his own scalpel and stashed him in the closet.
Escape by wetsuit, just because.
SA. Had fun. Would play again.
One of them did not trigger properly (I had a few audio bug in this ET) the other one was Phoebe wandering were her other half went and the target saying he believed she was certainly preparing herself. I think, it was a few hours ago.
always fantastic to see your run of the et.
Well, my run went south after I shoved a white katana through his skull outside the cinema whilst dressed as the white shadow. The game glitched as I pressed to dump him in the water and then wouldn’t let me do it again, so I had to leave his body, which got found.
That said, this was a very cool ET. I spent my first run just following him around, listening to all the dialogue and getting a true feel for why the creep had to be offed.
I poisoned him and drowned him in the toilet. Strangely while walking to the toilet, he wasn’t holding his stomach and moaning like poisoned people normally do. He just strolled over to the toilet to throw up like it was part of his normal route.
