I really didn’t care for the Iconoclast. This one’s story and opportunities were so much better. I just wanted to keep playing it. Thought of so many ways of taking him out.
The problem with the Iconoclast was they didn’t use the setup in any real way. If she is an assassin it would of been better to setup that She knows who 47 is and twist things like serving at the bar wouldn’t of worked and perhaps call 47 out. I.E make the social stealth alot harder to perform. But maybe that was beyond the programming scope of an ET.
It also has that standard disconnect of: this target is dangerous but flees at the sight of a gun.
What made this one special was the optional notebook which can be found in his van that would trigger the couple to leave Philo’s side. Had some trouble getting both girls outta the way until I heard this piece of dialogue about it.
Only nitpick I got is that he is an enforcer in the grape picking and fermintation room. Dude got no business there.
I used the scrapbook method as well when I found out about it. Getting to the cinema was kinda bugged because the first time I was able to enter just fine even though the guard told me to go away, the next time it didn’t work so I just KO’d him with a rake I was carrying lol. Could have used the scalpel to kill the target, but instead used a grape knife I had picked up earlier.
Didn’t follow the guy for that long but it was a fun ET. I like that they have put some scripted opportunities in H3 ET:s.
IO seems to reuse Bateson’s old lines in post-launch content, in this one the “this might interest you” line is from Sgail.
Well, this becoming my go-to kill for elusive targets. Oh, it’s a “casual” 4 minutes as opposed to @Frote7 16 seconds. :). Great run @Frote7. Though, I couldn’t believe that there was someone faster than you. Anyway, here is my run.
…and again, I’m a little disappointed about the difficulty.
Started in the parking lot (so I could get the suit only challenge for Mendoza) with the absolution suit.
I had the emetic gas device planted in my briefcase.
Went to the dancefloor… the target was there already (seems like his starting point was nearby) bumped into him, gas activated and he got drowned in the nearest toilet.
The fart-briefcase is the new E-phone with extra steps.
Srsly. Don’t complain about the difficulty if you are just cheesing it
The proximity and remote tasers are also the new e-phones for guards and security.
“Who left this here? I bet it was Gary.”
It’s a bit more balanced because it only works on guards and is an illegal item.
I find tasers to still be OP especially in contacts mode in Colorado or Delgado’s estate in Colombia, for example. Playing contacts with any method of 1-2 and even 3 targets, ruins the fun because of the ease of use from tasers and guards.
After hearing about finding the van and scrapbook, I’m finding that the ETs suck that they’re not replayable more each time. I’m missing out on so much other stuff and having absolutely no way to even load the level and see that stuff.
I’ve noticed that Phoebe fits all the sterotyped bi fashion choices with the tucked in shirt and turned up jeans, what a neat little design choice.
I killed Philo with a whack on the head with a hammer that knocked him in the water. His mouth isn’t underwater, so I’m filing this one as a claw hammer kill
Here’s some of the run
Meh.
This mechanic was and still is in Hitman 2 too; tough there you could poison two person at once.
Also, that does not disprove, that the new targets are way too easy, when they’re just walking up on you and you don’t even have to look for them, or make sure that they’re the right peron to kill.(like the politician)
The Politician was literally made for the purpose of finding out the right target. If you look back at targets like the Entertainer, the Appraiser or the Deceivers, you could spot the target from miles away because of how different they look like from the rest of the NPCs. Now if we look at targets like the Serial Killer, the Fugitive or as you mentioned the Politician, they will be a bit of a challenge to identify, because it is their feature.
IOI wanted the Hitman 3 ETs to go along with the 7 Deadly Sins theme, that’s why most of them (even including Terrence) are serial killers (or at least that’s my guess)
Haha, yes. FREEZE!
Unfortunately did not record it, but yes, I managed to lure him into freezer after KO’ing his future victims (it was for their good, I swear!)
The only way to avoid being caught eliminating Philo Newcombe in the cinema, is to kill him @ the exact position I kill him in the video.
I accidentally happened upon a similar kill at that spot in the theater. After wandering around without locating him on a previous attempt, on this try I wound up in the theater to pick up my drop and color me surprised when he came in with the couple. I watched for a second and when he stepped up onto the stage I gave them the notebook (not knowing what to expect). They just left, and he sat down on the steps so I crouched and shot him with the Silverballer and high-tailed it out before his body was found for SA. Inelegant, I know, but I was impatient.
I wish I had waited and trailed him because it sounds like I missed on on some inspired dialogue.
