I guess the 5 target contract will be the H1 targets. I hope not all the H1 contracts will be this long because replaying 5 targets everytime could be a little exhausting.

It’s out but not playable because servers are still down.
From the formulation, it’s the first new reward, given for completion of one arcade contract. So I would guess the old rewards for the Target themselves (mainly the location suits) will still be here in addition to it.
Seems that the challenge system will be akin to the one for the Featured Contracts and the Escalations. With more to come as more contracts are released, like the FC rewards.
What’s the complications like?
Cool, some that haven’t even appeared in H3 as Legacies yet are included. Been waiting on some of these assholes.
Looks like OG format ETs are continuing - The Heartbreaker is back in OG on February 4th. So I’m guessing suits are staying out of the arcade.

Fgs why have they made them mandatory
Are they able to be played after as normal if you’ve completed them
There’s no mission briefings which is a shame, there’s text briefings
As far as we are aware, no. This is their setting. We are hoping that someday the ETs may still be made replayable in their original format at any time, and this mode will allow those who think they wouldn’t be challenging anymore without consequences to keep having that challenge as part of them. Hopefully.
This was the one thing I was really hoping didn’t happen that was to add annoying escalation complications to things that are actually fun to do and we’re just asked to be permanent
The announcement telling us about this mode a week ago already talked about this. We already knew there were going to be new complications and that it wasn’t going to be just ETs being replayable indefinitely. We knew it was going to be several at once, with new requirements, and failure meant a 12 hour wait.
Yes but we weren’t told how restrictive the complications would be if it was a complication like don’t get spotted or maintain a SA then it would be fine but why complications like this where it does actually restrict gameplay styles and why are they mandatory
I know that I wasn’t asking for that. I have a mod that allows unlimited play in offline mode of all of the ETs and playing them totally at will exactly as they were originally released gets stale very quickly. The Elusive Targets enjoyability is based on their limited timeframe, risk of getting locked out, and the fact that you can’t see the target in Instinct. Playing it like it’s just a normal contract isn’t fun after a very short amount of time.
Those would actually be even harder than no pacifying more than one person.
But still having the option would be nice instead of making it an escalation based theme and having to do complications for everyone
I wouldn’t be as annoyed if it was simply you could play them normally when you’ve completed them but it seems it’s not like that
But in some speed runs or for some people they’d prefer it more then restricted pacifications
