It’s a bit of a cheat to make the moment have more impact. If Edwards just passed out, we’d be left wondering if he was dead or not or what the hell was going on. This is a concise way of letting us know 47 wiped his brain.
Or, alternatively, 47 had the same reaction, he just doesn’t remember.

Why wouldn’t it have power? We only disconnected the lead car. Plus they seemed to have a lot going on on that train, I assume they have ample generators. Plus they’ll have phones and internet connection, they’re fineeeee
Or because 47 is physically in a different condition than Edwards, it takes the serum longer to work, so he passes out and it takes him longer to come back again. And Edwards is not passing out because it works immediately.

This seems to indicate that the fuel and the engine are stored at the front of the train, which is where Edwards is.
Good point. We see him exerting himself to resist Hush. Maybe the serum is just way more potent.
But it’s I’d assumed it’s retrofitted with additional power supplies for both the lab and office areas
I mean I’m no train engineer so I wouldn’t know either way, but I assume they don’t just all die 
Either way, if it’s cold enough to affect even someone like 47, I don’t like their odds when they have to start walking. Do you think the backwoods have great cell phone reception?
Well they have a good enough connection to run an entire office out of the train so I reckon they’ll be fine. Wouldn’t even have to brave the cold outside
An office that, to be fair, is supposed to be a dark site. So they may operate it, but they aren’t necessarily going to be trying to connect to any internet or satellite, as those could theoretically be traced back to locate the secret labtrain
Touché, that would be the best way to keep themselves hidden. Perhaps they hide themselves too well
But you’d also imagine they have some plan/system in place for if the train brakes down. They wouldn’t just sit there and freeze to death
