It can be always made harder, I lust wanted to make it possible to time things right so the guard target can be catched outside the facility.

Ofc I can add all large melees to the main targets, give each an individual disguise, add more such targets and add every complication with autofail to beat all time waster versions of @BernardoOne :stuck_out_tongue:

I only asked because in a situation like that I get them sick, distract them, or use peek-a-boo.

Ohh, okay!

Episode 4 out a little early! We stay in the Legacy maps and head to the morgue in Hokkaido, where you have to intercept Mathers’ supposed body.

Well, I did it in 2:21 which is number 1 at the moment. I’m sure someone will eventually come along and beat that.

It’d be nice if IOI did an April Fools theme again this year for Featured Contracts. This would be the perfect contract to submit.

Though it really would only take 4 tries to figure it out, since there are only 4 disguises. Play through once wearing each of the available Biker outfits and note which targets match with which Biker disguise.

Although I made Tremaine, Rhodes, and Lowenthal targets since you need to wear one of their disguises. If IOI does an April Fools theme, I’ll probably re-make the contract with three random Biker targets in their place, just to throw players off even more.

EDIT: Or maybe I’ll make the contract with five targets on the other side of the map from the Biker garage, just to make players have to keep running back and forth to change Biker disguises. :smiling_imp:

I remade this contract on PC under Contract ID: 1-29-3108385-04

I don’t know if you found a different way, but I took advantage of the fact that the Sedative Syringe takes a while to actually knock out the delivery guy when he’s injected, but he still drops his keys. And that gives me enough time to get to the scooter before he would actually be knocked out.

Thank you very much.

And yeah, I used the sedative syringe. I got the idea from someone who did it on Landslide

No problem. That was my first guess when I saw your contract parameters, so I remade it just to test if my hypothesis was correct. I saw people complaining in the Bug Report thread about the sedative syringe taking a long time to actually knock people out, and I actually experienced that myself beforehand, so that’s why I thought that was probably the solution. If IOI actually patches that glitch with the sedative syringe, then this contract probably will actually be impossible.

Impressive! I’ll try after classes, it was an interesting contract to make!

Hey everyone! I’m back with part 5 of my series, Queen’s Gambit, and we go into Santa Fortuna and discover Mathers’ true identity for the ending of the “First Arc” if you will!

I might run through all of these this weekend. They all look really good :+1:

Thank you! They are all fun in different ways, and some contracts are towards a certain type than others.

Originally, I was going to only have Catalina and the head foreman as the targets with the letterbomb parcel objective but I wanted flow.

I respectfully disagree. I hope this one gets featured ASAP. :smiling_imp:

Silent Assassin is possible in a reasonable time - I did mine in 22:22. Granted, I did spend two hours trying to get it right.

First, the timing for firing Jeremy Bolt and activating the core meltdown. He can’t be fired after the meltdown. If you fire him before initiating the core meltdown, he may still join the patrolling guards afterward if he’s still downstairs. I guess he’s still committed to the job in that case. You have to let him start making his way upstairs before starting the core meltdown sequence.

Second, as it turns out, there’s an element of randomness to the patrols of the masked facility guards after the core meltdown. Vincent Knowles always ends up in a completely different spot on each run, so I eventually had to get lucky to get him in a spot where I could isolate him.

Wow well done! Did not expect to see a run so early.

I wonder if it is way less an issue to catch him if you blast three Sieker shots into him when he heads back down from the roof. That should keep him busy for a few minutes. Then you might not even need to get back into the facility.

Wait, since when does the Midnight Black Suit have different privileges from other suits? Is this the case on other maps too?

I just finished trying that, and it didn’t work. Somehow Vincent ended up in an even worse spot for me to get him after getting back into the facility. In my video, he’s nicely on Tier 1 in the ICA facility. But trying the Sieker somehow made him go all the way down to Tier 3! It seems random every time where he’ll end up being, so I doubt one could make a proper walkthrough after initiating the core meltdown.

A big problem with this contract is that it requires ~15 minutes of setup just to test a random idea every single time. If IOI let us save in Contracts Mode, it’d be quite helpful to figure out an optimal strategy. But as it is, I’m not that inclined to keep repeatedly trying, especially after having already gotten SA.

The “Jeremy Blackout Privilege” really makes me miss the Electrocution Phone. How slick would it be to drop the phone in front of Vincent while he’s still on the roof, have him pick it up, initiate the core meltdown, then call it and electrocute him wherever he randomly ends up among the searching guards?

Very nicely done on that contract.

Regarding the use of the electrocution phone, I wonder if he’d answer the phone in alert status?

If he was carrying a remote taser at the time, would he drop it when the lockdown is triggered or would he still have it on his person? Although I imagine with the length of the cutscene when you access the core he’d have dropped it off, finished his shift, go home, and would have returned to duty the next day.
