Here seems like a decent place to ask without starting a new topic, but I’m after some ideas to kill Elvis Lanford in New York via an accident kill with no loadout. I can get him to find a gun and take it to the nearby room, where there’s a propane - or take the propane to him (which could be hard to trigger).
Anyone have any better ideas? He’s the fella standing in front of the sliding doors with the shotgun who occasionally walks into the security room by the vault.
I’m not sure if this is the answer you’re looking for, but in New York you can blow up a propane flask without firing a gun.
Also, if collateral damage on NPCs other than Elvis Lanford is allowed, an electrocution accident should be pretty easy too.
Yeah that’s pretty much what my current method is, except with a gunshot instead of the car battery.
Just wondering if there’s a more efficient method! I need to get the deposit box key from the security room anyway, so it’s possible that may be the best way.
Just doesn’t seem extremely elegant and relies on making sure he’s there when I get there!
I’m not sure if this will work: Could you throw the propane into the shaft next to him (from the IT office)? And then a battery or something? Without KO and SO that would be a neat solution that doesn’t require a key card. Or maybe throw a gun into the shaft, which he’d then more or less bring to you?
That would be cool, except I need to enter the deposit box to get the explosive device. Not sure if they can be crowbar’d open? I’m pretty sure they can’t
I do like the idea of the shaft though. I could even drop the gun down there and then when I make my way downstairs, he’s in that room…
Those shafts are highly underused. There’s even a Kalmer right next to this particular shaft for the guard - so it checks with no loadout.
Always tried to make a contract with all the different shafts in New York but never had the right idea (or any other approach was just easier).
Contract: If You Can’t Do the Mime, Don’t Do The Crime.
Steam ID: 1-03-7250921-32
Briefing: A rival street performer is tired of Umberto stealing the limelight. Eliminate him and his two biggest tippers and make it look like an accident.
Looking at the guide, would this contract be considered a Routing Contract?
On my end, I cleared it using two different routes, with different starting locations and exits, and both routes produced roughly equivalent times.
That said, for this kind of contract, the intended solution may not really exist in a strict sense. I think it’s the kind of contract where everyone can run it in their own way.
Maybe that’s why Urben places importance on open contracts in the guide.
Sorry for being quiet on the Western front, I just graduated + new girlfriend + new job, so my life has been fairly busy! But! I have had this idea that I plan on making into a trilogy-three part series, and I wanted to share Part I go!
Face pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon where our brains perceive human faces in inanimate objects, such as a car grill, an electrical outlet, or a cloud.
All four targets have the same face! It’s best you take the time to enjoy it all and figure out a route to take each and every one out!
I believe I completed another one of your older contracts last year with a similar name and complications. “Power of Colorado” ID : 1-09-6790371-73.. 5 targets/5 accidents w/ 4 explosions and 1 falling object. You just gave me an idea to upload that one next
Hey guys, I’ve recently uploaded a couple of older contracts from seperate creators respectfully…
The first one’s called “Seeing Double - Double Trouble” created by @ChRoNiCSmk305 which I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with. Steam ID : 1-11-8694564-32
and the 2nd one’s a pretty old featured contract from WINNODD’s Puzzle Box batch of contracts called “No Collateral? No Problem!” created by @THAT aka “SASO”
I know this is a fan-made thread but seeing as the “Puzzle Box” thread has been inactive since 2023, I’ve decided to upload it as a bonus video. I’ve really spent countless hours trying to come up with a SASO approach for this, with minimal KO’s, no emetics, and sub 5 minutes. God knows how many times I’ve hit in-game replay option ..
Either way, I hope you guys don’t mind me uploading it here and if it’s a problem I will remove it.
Thank you to both these creative contract makers for their efforts and dedication
@IcarusImmortal777
Thanks for reminding me about this contract!
When I created “Ghosts of Colorado” the title actually felt strangely familiar to me too
