After messing around a bit in the non-contracts mode of Chongqing, I figured out how to get the accident kill in The Sharon Whiteout Privilege and decided to make it unnecessarily more difficult.

You got Sharon Reed with an accident kill and still got SA? Can you share a little bit how you got that? Because Sharon is nearly impossible to move once she’s in her little corner smoking among the Facility Engineers. She won’t go vomit if poisoned with emetics; she won’t move if I throw some flash grenades; she won’t move at the sound of gun shots; and hell, she won’t even move if I shoot her in the foot. She might move if I create completely utter chaos, but then I’ve blown the SA rating.

Okay, so it’s actually the DAK X2 (without silencer) but it’s wrongly named as DAK X2 Covert in Mendoza. Another addition to the bug report thread lol.

Edit: Actually, it IS a DAK X2 Covert but looks like DAK X2 (without silencer). Wow this is special lol. Nice one finding this out.

That issue exists in Berlin too. I think one of the agents carries such a DAK.

I reported that quite early in the Bug Report thread.

Yeah I guess IO misplaced some weapons from the file, but this doesn’t affect the normal gameplay at all. It’s a just a unique melee weapon in contract mode. So I prefer IO not fix it.
Also from what I know there are only few people who carry this gun: Banner, Swan, Davenport, Thames, Chamberlin, two bodyguards in Mendoza.

Edit: Well, in the newest patch all Berlin agents carry DAK DTI now. But the bodyguards in Mendoza still have the gun needed for this contract.

I learned that from one of the Santa Fortuna featured contract. I couldn’t remember the title but it lets you kill someone with Dak X2 melee.

If you use Explosive Accidents, you may fall into a troublesome situation.

The way I did it is by causing chaos right before interacting with the core. An explosion/gunshot in Alicia’s room (or getting caught on the core room camera) will cause several of the other maintenance staff members to hesitate due to guard panic before walking up. Then it becomes a race with a propane flask in hand so that one of the Bourne sisters and Alicia don’t get out of the building before you.

This took a while, but I’m quite proud of it, despite the inherent flaws of trying to make one game fit into another. I have seen C47 levels remade here, but I don’t know if anyone has done Absolution. Some levels are better than others, and overall I’d say it’s not too difficult, but it was a fun challenge to try and piece it all together. Oh, and forgive Attack of the Saints. There weren’t many options. Whether this gets played or not, I’m happy just to have done it.
