Finite coins - What causes this?

I’ve recently found out, while playing Hitman Blood Money on PC (Steam version) that after throwing / dropping 10 coins, I just run out and the item disappears from my inventory, and I cannot equip it with the hotkey either. Tried multiple times on multiple levels, and it seems like coins always disappear after the 10th throw / drop.

After checking the wiki, it says coins should be infinite in Blood Money. And what’s more, while playing Blood Money Reprisal on my phone, coins are indeed infinite.

Does anyone know what causes this issue or if there’s any way to avoid it from occurring?

Huh, that’s weird.

I don’t know personally and can’t check myself, so I can only take a wild guess here – what if there have been 10 coins all along, and it’s just very rare for a player to throw them all away in a single go so it wasn’t a widespread knowledge. Alternatively, might be some technical limitations at play, game can’t render more than 10 coins at the same time or something?

Whatever the case, I figure Reprisal must have simply fixed this glitch/feature. This is all my speculation though, maybe someone can confirm or disprove all this :slightly_smiling_face:
