We find out in just one more week!
Ooh, I missed the bits about Number of Suspects being lowered for higher difficulty showdowns (they were too overwhelming) and decreasing the amount of Stashes, but will have a higher chance of more valuable gear. Nice!! That second one was one of my major issues with their implementation. 20 times out of 10, it would be the same kind of ābreakable item, non-lethal melee, non-lethal explosiveā, and very very very rarely would it be a rarity item or a bit of Merces, making the detours - and placement in Restricted areas - more of an inconvenienceā¦
I saw that a lot in CTT videos. The player would be needing a silenced pistol or a poison syringe, they open a stash box and see a screwdriver, the Lilā Flashy robot, and a fish. All the damn good thatāll do them.
While the 10,000 and 1,000 were probably significantly too high, I was slightly looking forward to completing such a ridiculous challenge simply to do it, and so I hope they maybe cut it in half rather than do 1,000 and 100, but Iām sure Iām in the minority on that.
Even at 1,000 and 100, itās a bit of a grind. Keeping round numbers, for 1 year thatās 20 members and 2 leaders a week.
I love the game, but at that breakdown, it would still be enjoyable and doable. Any more, and it would be a job (or chore) that I donāt need taking over my life.
Youād probably have still been working on it by the time the next Hitman game came around and needed up never completing it as you focused on the new one.
Nice list of changes!
Losing tools or weapons is still a bit confusing to me, but it will probably make more sense once I get my hands on freelancer.
I wonder what surprises we have yet to discover?
Still hoping for a swat raid and enemy assassin sniper nests
What would be cool is an ET event where 47 comes home and thereās another hitman in his safehouse and we have to try to locate him on the property and kill him before he gets to 47, and it would function like an ET or one of those seasonal events, and eventually we could trigger it whenever we wanted.
A lot of people seem to want this to happen or be some unsaid surpriseā¦
I really donāt see it. It seems like way too big of an event to test your final success or failure, that they would have included it in the CTT.
The safehouse just isnāt built (literally in the lower levels) to have a shootout. Itās a very open-concept place, little cover, many blocked off rooms from Masteryā¦
cough Wrath Escalation cough
This sort of threw me a little bit as well? Hopefully it will make sense to us once we are actually playing Freelancer
It could simply mean that these items, once unlocked, will be permanent and always respawn in your safehouse, like the newspaper, banana etc. I remember a few posts from the CTT thread about mastery-unlocked weapons that could be permanently lost (with no way to get them back) upon death, so I suppose those will be receiving the same treatment.
Iād forgotten that Freelancer was going to exist, so to know weāre only a week out, makes me excited again.
Thereās no way that thereās not going to be some kind of mission happening in the Safehouse at some point (IMO). That security camera as you descend to the basement from the kitchen is going to come into play at some point, Iād bet Heisenbergās life on it.
Hey, hey, bet your own mortal coil.
At some point I was imagining a possible regular mission separate from the game mode that would take place in the safehouse some time before Freelancer and 47 moving in. However I havenāt played the CTT, so I have no idea how well itād work as a stealth level without a large overhaul. Plus it could easily end up feeling like a repeat of Hawkeās Bay.
Huh?? I donāt think Iāve ever noticed that. Or if I did, I paid no mind to itā¦
In that case, if used in some sort of āAlert!ā way, we could get another variation on Wrath, but this time lets us use as many unlocked tools and weapons as we want.
If, and bloody If, thatās the case, I feel that kind of mission could get repetitive. The only way I can see it happenning is as a āfinal missionā scenario.
Apparently in the CTT, once you beat the last showdown, you get a little ācampaign completeā cutscene and thatās it. Back to the safehouse with a random new weaponā¦
Agh, I still donāt think its likely at all thereās some sort of Special Raid that could happen, but Iād welcome the opportunityā¦
(Itās one of the very few 7DS concepts weāve yet to see featured in Freelancer footage - which seems to be the culmination of everything from that series)
Is there any mechanic in Freelancer that could be tied back to Sloth?
Envy too when I think about it. While FL does have rival assassins, they work closer to Berlin agents than Abel Grey from what Iāve seen.
Iād say the optional Jogger in Sloth can be attributed to Couriers in FL. (Kill/Take Out for a bonus to X - Stamina/Merces)
Envy is much more difficult, since itās clearly not rival assassins weāre dealing with (and the amount of route planning to account for the hundreds of targets chosen as the Random map targets would be too big)
Maybe the optional way to kill the targets to get a higher score?
Maybe the planning and plotting or your movements to conserve health ties into taking the same care planning your strategy and route in Freelancer to avoid screwing up?
