Thanks @TheChicken

I don’t plan on putting myself under that much pressure again anytime soon :joy::joy::joy:

Hello, small question I dragged a target (syndicate) on a banana and I lost the silent assassin while I did the same thing with the npc who have money on them and it does not deactivate it. Is this a bug?

If a target who slipped on a banana is found, you lose SA. However, if a non-target who slipped on a banana is found, you keep SA.

In my opinion this behavior is not really logical, but it‘s definitely intended.

ok thank you for your answer. Too bad for me.

I finally did it! Finished my first hardcore campain. That was quite a thrill and took me a few tries. Would have been easier if I found out earlier that only the prestige objective is mandatory. Always tried to fulfill all objectives until the last syndicate. Anyway. Back to normal mode!

You know, I’m gonna sit back and wait to see what some other folks think about Prestige mode first, but if it sounds like it’s ok and the XP and Mercers really do increase more than normal mode, I may try doing one Hardcore mode campaign for the trophy, challenges and unlocks, and then let Prestige mode take whatever I have left over and work on rebuilding it from there. If I’m gonna lose items and money in Hardcore anyway, might as well use this as the means of continuing to build my mastery while earning it all back.

Been taking a Hitman break for a few weeks but I just read the preview notes for the update & it looks pretty solid for bugfixes. I like the prestige thing too. Definitely a good enough excuse to get back on the grind. Can’t wait!

Where do you find those?

That’s not really gonna work, since you can only activate prestige when you have every weapon. So if you lose weapons in HC you’d need to get them back before you can activate prestige :x

My understanding is once you have obtained every weapon you can access it. I have done so. Are you saying you must have it in your inventory at the time of activation and not simply have actually obtained them at at some point while playing Freelancer?

Yeah, you’re gonna have to have all the weapons (sans DLC) in your safehouse before it’ll let you activate a Prestige reset.

Makes sense in how Prestige systems usually work.

Take all your progress/levelling/collection and reset it to Zero. Either choose to keep all everything you’ve ammassed, or give it all up to get better XP and Merces rewards. If you’re so good at the game, it won’t take long for you to get them all back, right player?

You’d think it wouldn’t matter if some of the weapons are already gone if you’re gonna lose them all anyway activating it! But that makes too much sense.

It’s supposed to be a “reward” for people who finished their Safehouse. Who have no more use for their money because they can’t buy anything else.

Fortune favors the hoarders.

Not quite.

I feel like that’s the sunk cost fallacy talking.

If you got all the weapons but lost 3 of them at some point you’d need to get those 3 back before you can activate prestige (that’s how it works in other games with similar systems anyway). If you could activate it at any point after obtaining all weapons, you could just activate it 5 times in a row without getting any of the weapons back, that kinda defeats the purpose :x

Then somebody should really rethink that purpose, because I could come up with a far less frustrating version of that.

Well it’s supposed to be some kind of challenge to lengthen playtime (artificially in my opinion, but I can understand why it can be interesting for some people), not a walk in the park that’s over in 10 minutes :x

Not at all. My opinion, I was really hesitant to try Hardcore because I was so adamant I’d instantly fail, but when I actually completed the campaign it felt rewarding. The amount of times I doubted myself probably didn’t help
