I take my hat off to you for this. I play Freelancer a hell of a lot, but it’s taken me absolutely ages just to collect everything back after just one Prestige and I still haven’t got everything back yet.
Once I have, I don’t think I’ll be doing it again! Think I’ll just stick to enjoying playing Freelancer with a full inventory.
Or anyone apparently. I guess it’s too easy to use to get a sedative poison objective.
This is where the aim with a coin at their feet and switch to chloroform as you throw would come in handy. This way it won’t lock onto the target and melee KO them.
Quick question about hardcore mode: i do the silent Assassin objective but I’m not sure if i was recorded by a camera and i don’t want to leave and probably screw myself over.
Does the objective change to “delete evidence” or whatever in hc mode too or do i have to destroy the surveillance recorder just to be safe?
-set the HUD objectives to auto;
-whenever you interact with the world in any way for the first time, the objectives HUD will show up;
-bump on the suspect NPC;
-if the objectives HUD show up when they where distracted (with a “?” above the head), that’s the leader.
Yes, it’s very unfortunate how that has worked out. My two biggest issues with Freelancer has been the existence of the objectives, narrowing the options perfectionist players can take, and the fact that the entire inventory of suits, weapons and tools found in the main campaign cannot be used in Freelancer, and that there are some items in Freelancer that can’t be used in the main campaign. They should be able to share across the two.
I always thought there should be a button to press to disable ‘lock on’. Sometimes I just want to throw a propane tank in between some npcs without throwing it at their head.
Sometimes I wonder why ppl make posts revealing exploits like this when the game is still being actively updated… All it does is lead to it getting patched out in the next update - just look at what happened to the “target jingle”.
Well if you’re not going to use such an exploit, or share it with others to use, then what’s the difference if it gets patched out? Use it while you can.
