The laptop doesn’t reactivate so you cannot move to level 101.
Previously it would reactivate and the prompt would appear, but wasn’t usable. It was greyed out. They fixed that last year at some point and the prompt no longer appears.

I think that the missing outstanding coin for your briefcase is awarded to you if you reach level 102, but since no one can reach level 102, well you are out of luck…
Joking aside, we need news on this because I hope content on the game doesn’t finish with the coin still being MIA.
starting to feel the sun’ll go cold and that coin will be missing and the save bug will still be on PS5
Doing the objectives and collecting the guns is a big part of the fun. I stopped prestiging at level 10 but recently started to prestige again because HC was starting to feel too easy. I’m currently at prestige 13 and collecting guns, safes and merces is quite enjoyable in HC if you want a challenge.
My objective is to get as fast as possible the 100 campaign challenge and the 500 leaders killed one and then stop to play Freelancer forever. I want to play other games
We’ll have to keep our fingers and toes crossed the coin will be fixed
@Combatglue, not sure if you’ve got any info on this?
I think what I really want for Freelancer, more than anything else (apart from maybe seasonal decorations) are the bonus mission map variations. That would add so much variety! And if we’re feeling really fancy, I also wish for a randomised time of day for all maps and variations.
You know you can play other games right now and come back to Freelancer later when it won’t feel like a chore right? :x
Yes, I know, but I don’t want. I prefer finishing all freelancer challenges as soon as possible
Been brought up internally.
485 syndicate leaders killed, 63 campaigns, finished Prestige, so I no longer need mercs.
Once completed 100 campaigns, will finish a hard mode campaign.
Enjoyed Hitman Freelancer experience – unlike most video games, I peak at achievement quite early and then it gets boring.
I HATED losing campaigns in Hitman Freelancer to start with, and was overly cautious… Then really begun to adapt, using all the available tools and possibilities on the fly. I now get Hitman Freelancer. It is an amazing, immersive, puzzle game, that grows on you.
I am sure that Project 007 increases the Agent Fantasy using the Agent 007 franchise instead of Agent 47, with likely elusive targets of real celebrities. I guess that Sean Bean, and Conor McGregor are just test trials of what is to come in Project 007. Much of Project 007 is probably the same DNA as Hitman WOA running under the Glacier engine. Project 007 has to have more than Hitman because there has to be driving of an Austin Martin, boats, planes, ski jumps, etc if it is to create the James Bond fantasy.
Great news, thanks for the feedback @Combatglue
You’ve played that many campaigns and don’t find regular mode insanely easy right now? I switched to HC after about 20 campaigns. Makes the game a lot more intense and fun imo
Of course it has. It would be ludicrous for it not to have been.
This is a statement that states nothing, and should not be applauded. Thanks, I guess?
I probably have lost ~ 12 to 15 or more campaigns so far in regular mode, so for every 4 campaigns I win, I lose 1 or 20% failure rate …
Regular mode is fun, but I don’t find it that easy yet. Will finish a hard mode campaign – I just only want to start the hard mode campaign when I fill my gear wall one last time. Hard more is easiest when you don’t care about mercs, and just go for the easiest to get Prestige objectives.
I have recently started to play the mode again. Regarding the difficulty, I am mostly succesful right now because I play it very safely and I use instinct a lot (you can easily identify the tells of the suspects without having LOS) . Also I almost always use Haven for the showdown and I know where the sentinels are. I have no incentives to change so my run are somewhat boring. Some objective like No Combat are impossible to understand, others are conflicting with prestige obj. Others are very easy to do by subduing the targets. Also if the mission has 4 targets SA is pretty impossible to do but it is payed the same amount of merces than in a 1 target mission, which I can do easily with the emetic device. So in the end the mode is just potentially great.
In terms of showdowns, I tend to choose Big Pharma, so that I can bring an remote emetic and 2 seiker to isolate the target. If the features match the potential syndicate leader, I can confirm with an emetic. I always choose the showdown with “Poison target” objective in the location.
You can snipe near a target to identify the syndicate leader, but often you end up alerting the syndicate leader on mistake, who is out of your sniper range.
Showdowns in Whittleton Creek or New York are easy, where you can arrange a meeting in the chloroformed house or chloroformed security room, otherwise these locations are too congested because the maps are small.
I tend to choose Dubai as my preferred Showdown location, because the security rooms are easily accessible with the elite guard outfit, plus you get easy access to turn off surveillance, and you get a security card and a banana in one location.
My second favorite showdown locations are either Dartmoor, Mendoza, Paris, Berlin, or Miami. Berlin and Mendoza have elite disguises which allow a sniper rifle without alerting guards or other folk. Dartmoor and Paris are very similar in their design. Any location can serve as a showdown, except Colorado or Marrakesh, which are more difficult.
Mumbai and Ambrose Island grow on me as I play them because they have so many nooks and crannies, to do stuff.
I am most cautious with Colorado and Marrakesh alerted territories. Both work best with sniper rifle kills. It is way too easy to get overwhelmed with > a dozen guards upon you in Colorado and Marrakesh if you make a slight mistake.
Me too. Almost always play Big Pharma. Got the feeling they are the easiest, may be wrong about that but I’m used to them by now.
Whittleton Creek, Haven or Berlin for me. Love New York but can be quite complicated it a target is always in the entry hall behind glass. Otherwise a great map for showdowns – and gives the most merces.
Don’t agree with Colorado, once you’ve got a strategy it’s pretty boring/easy. Don’t really like Hokkaido. Marrakesh is hell for Freelancer (love it in mission mode or contract mode).
I normally stick to Assassination as it’s as closer to Silent Assassin play style compared to the others. I do sometimes alternate between them all, but Assassination is my preferred.
