there should be rewards that are super helpful that would encourage people to play it… for example
level 25: green egg (emetic)
level 50: red eqq (lethal)
level 75: electrocution phone
level 100: smelling salts (to revive KOd target/npc)

You want the red egg to be an unlock?
Why do you want to completely break the game?
Red egg needs to forever remain in the one and only jokey escalation that plays with it, and never be an unlock!
At this point, breaking the game doesn’t matter anymore.
I reported it for the xbox one on the bug report thread last month.
I don’t think they’re checking the section on the forums anymore. The ZenDesk is probably a better spot, as long as you use the template.
I know the feeling. Though my personal solution is to have my own goal - namely: Most hardcore campaigns completed back-to-back.
Hmm I didn’t know that about that section of the forum. I have occasionally raised things through the ZenDesk, such as the Dubai soundless Helicopter taking off from the Safehouse, so I could try that I guess?
Meanwhile, a redditer did it.
OH MY GOD!!
I think @thrison has proven that you can back-end manipulate the prestige counter, right?
If someone actually prestiged 47 times… that person is dumb.
The screenshot I took ages ago where I had Level 100 was done on Peacock, so there was a local file that I could just edit the level number on fairly quickly.
Though you can also manipulate it on PC on official by using the rogueless Freelancer mod. You can remove the ability to need all the weapons to advance to the next level and can just advance over and over until you max it out. Or get to your desired level.
I’ve played the last weeks Freelancer mode. I’ve completed 8 or 9 campaigns, and increased one my prestige level (from 1 to 2). During the runs, I’ve killed less than 40 syndicate leaders and more than 350 members. After that, I’ve made a break and I’m playing again regular missions from the WoA campaign.
I’m reiterating my previous statement that grinding challenges in Freelancer are damned too big. After a certain time on Freelancer, I need some fresh air (FC were a welcome break).
That’s why I’m impressed by those who has finished these tough (and frustrating) challenges.
You know what, I’ve said this a handful of times on the forum, but I’ve only ever Prestige once. I prefer to play Freelancer knowing I’ve got a fully stocked weapon inventory, without having to run about and grind for them all multiple times. Of course I have outstanding Prestige challenges, but I’m not overly fussed about that at the moment. Once content eventually concludes for the game, whether that’s at Year 5 or not, it maybe something I do to fill in a bit of time before 47 eventually returns in the next big Hitman game
As someone who has done those Prestige challenges, I can certainly say it takes an awful lot of patience and you have to be in the sort of mood to want to grind out the countless runs in Freelancer getting all of the weapons and unlocks again and again. It’s not for everybody and I do think they just put those challenges in there for the absolute long-term playability of the gamemode after official support ends.
i enjoyed doing it … gave me a few months of playability with purpose
I’m on prestige 15 (probably gonna stop there for now though) and I still don’t have the 100 campaigns challenge done :x
I was rearranging the Safehouse tonight and I came across a mix of cosmetics in the gym area room that look a pretty cool mix….
The new Drop DLC cosmetics, but mixed in with some of the original Gym unlocks. I think to having the room set up as a recording studio didn’t really suit 47’s character because I can’t imagine him standing in the room signing his heart out , so I decided the room looked pretty cool with the new fish tank, bar table, record frames on the wall and some treadmills near the window, so 47 now has a room where he can use the treadmills/weight ball at one side of the room, then chill at the other where the sofa and bar is located.
Not sure what everyone else has the room setup like?
I have the same setup, I just use the one with the big mat from the disruptor. It devides the room well.
But I like the mix between gym and sort of lounge!
IMO that aquarium and the body building stuff from the Disruptor go really well together. But the vinyls are also a good choice, they’re nice with that wall color and give off a 70s feel.
Started an Espionage contract last night, my least favorite syndicate type, and the first mission in Whittleton Creek went better than most missions I’ve had in Freelancer. Took out both targets in near-perfect accidents and didn’t even have to disable the security system or use an emetic to clear the room to get to the safe. The fact that it was an Espionage mission makes it especially delicious, because the subtlety of basically taking out spies in ways that they don’t even know that their members are being assassinated is just trolling them, it feels like.
