I’ve only done Prestige once and that’s how I’ve left it for the time being I like playing Freelancer with a full armoury and it’s just a bit of a grind having to chase all my weapons back. When the coin was finally fixed a few weeks ago, I lost a few of my weapons due in Dartmoor on a high alert territory a few days before, so I ended up having to run around to get them first before I was able to see the coin! My OCD was going through the roof haha
I may do the remaining Prestige advances once content for the WOA concludes, however, I’m continuing to play as I am for now.
Come to think of it, it is all in the name, “Outstanding coin”, which from its namesake, was the only thing “Outstanding” in the Freelancer briefcase… Glad that they didn’t have the “Sieker dart gun” named as “Outstanding Sieker dart gun” or we would have never received it from IOI.
I’ve discovered today that killing a target with the Splitter Kukri Knife doesn’t count for the “killing a target with a knife” regular objective. I’ve never with the regular kukri, but I’ve tested with other knives from the safehouse and it worked.
I said “more of” for a reason. It’s not exactly one, but it can be seen as one due to its large size and chopping nature rather than slicing or stabbing. So, perhaps IOI programmed it in as one.
Anyway, I was just playing Freelancer on Ambrose Island, and the most hilariously unintentional thing happened. In the area where you can get the metal working disguise in the little hut just outside Akka’s headquarters, there’s a metal worker who is always an enforcer. He was one of my assigned targets for the mission. A second metal worker in the area is also a target and he walks a route that takes him to the one working on the boat motor near the restaurant all the way to the area where you get the metal worker’s disguise. I shot the welding tanks the enforcer target uses while no one was looking, and he walks over and turns on his welding torch just as the second metal worker target is walking past. I did not know that they were close enough to each other, and did not plan or intend this in any way, but both targets blew up at the same time. It was fantastic!
Unfortunately we’re not talking facts here. We are talking about whether ioi programmed (intentionally or unintentionally) the item as a knife or sword. Or maybe they forgot all together to label it under any type.
It’s currently not possible, however, it’s something that has been highly requested for sometime by fans. To have all of 47’s briefcases stored on display in the Safehouse basement and not usable is a bit of a waste. Hopefully we get a future update where the briefcases can be picked up by 47 to store his Snipers and stuff in before heading out of the Safehouse
I wish we could carry it around as well, but I get that we cant do it in the safehouse. So a way we could change it would be like changing suits.
A prompt would show up once you unlock the first briefcase stand and the selected briefcase would be the one standing in front
It might be drift stick.
It happens to both wired and wireless controllers - basically your stick is getting loose and moves slightly or gets stuck at a certain direction, just enough for the controller to register it.
It happened to two of my old controllers as well with wear and tear through the years.
You might be able to calibrate it. Microsoft has a tool for that. Back when flight sticks and joysticks were more prevalent, those would regularly need calibration to keep centered. Here’s a link to the Xbox controller calibration tool support page:
