Recently on the Berlin I had to disable the cameras to get a Never Spotted Reward. Since I was in the Biker Hideout, I went for that Security Room. I decided to kock out the two guards out throwing objects once they both had turned their backs on me.
Guess which one I threw at the first guard? That’s right the explosive baseball. Luckily not only was I unharmed by explosion but the guard I aimed at was standing next to the recording devices destroying, too.
But I’ve learned a lesson: Never pick up any baseball (or golf ball for that matter) from the crates. Even if there’s just a small chance that you blow yourself up it’s not work the risk.
Had a peculiar glitch today. I spawned in and immediately opened the map to see where the targets are and start building a route, only to notice a complete lack of target icons. I unpause the game and the objective HUD looked like this (the mission was supposed to have 3 targets).
Alright Woooo! Syndicate Level 3 defeated! It was surprisingly easy this time around…
A lone target near the helipad in Paris. No assassins or lookouts following them. They unluckily saw me pointing a Sieker at them, so they started to run, triggering Diana’s dialogue. Shot them with a silenced pistol, I also managed to get away to the chopper super easily! Finally!
(I got no payout objectives done except for the Silent Takedowns for this one, but I don’t care!)
That’s both really interesting and really cool, its inclusion either means that its just a neat Easter egg (which is neat), or maybe we will Mei Ling in a future entry?
Yeah this happens consistently for me on Xbox, it takes a few seconds for both the targets and all of your items to load in after you start. Sometimes up to 10 seconds for everything to actually be in place.
This is worst on showdowns, where I experience crashes sometimes if the suspects don’t load in instinct or objectives don’t pop up after about 5-10 seconds
It happened again yesterday (on the same level, alerted Hokkaido, which is probably the worst map in Freelancer) and I’ll continue to grab explosive baseballs whenever I can because they’re really versatile. Blowing myself up with them more or less became a feature of Freelancer at that point
Same issue I had, and the only reason I had any failures on my first two campaigns.
Not true at all. Hokkaido is very easy to traverse once you know the fastest means of getting the master chip from Smith. It can be a problem if you have a one disguise only objective and the target is on one of the two surgical floors, but other than that…
I completed Hardcore campaign (with heavy cheating) and filled my wall except for the Ancestral knife, so I entered the zone where Merces means little anymore. I think I’ll grind to that final weapon at 60 Mastery for a full wall and maybe clean a few achievable trophies, but no full trophy wall for me. Still, I’m very satisfied with the mode.
Alerted Hokkaido. I love regular Hokkaido and it’s indeed easy enough to get around even without the master chip, but the alerted version is just terrible, every 2 meters there’s a camera, a guard, an enforcer or all three. Whenever I get that map I basically say goodbye to getting SA just because of the cameras alone. I still have nightmares from the Ninja challenge in H1 Pro Mode.
