I got a weird surprise today. On the map Sapienza wasn’t shown as an alerted territory (and there were already two other territories alerted like there should be on the third syndicate). However, once I got in the level, it actually was an alerted territory, using the master mode layout and having the targets be enforcers to guard disguises.
Finally making an attempt at hardcore mode, it took a few attempts to get any traction but I didn’t lose anything I can’t replace
1 syndicate down, 3 to go
Has anyone figured out how to get the outstanding performance coin yet?
I presume it’s poison made in the safe house using the mushroom
You have to craft it in the location for it to count, not crafting it in the Safehouse and then taking it in. Dartmoor has the station removed, it’s only present in Mendoza afaik. So you have to wait until you get a leader that has the foodie/dehydrated tells and have Mendoza in the location roll to have a chance to complete a kill in that manner.
I was taking in the emetic gas grenade and using that to craft the lethal poison.
So basically, if any suspect gets spooked, they’ll start to run. This usually happens if another suspect passes them, or they run into a guard in combat mode.
But a whole group of suspects can start running at the same time via lookouts.
Lookouts are all tied to a specific “network”. These are the different Meetings targets can have. So, if you alert one lookout, he’ll call all NPCs he’s related to, but that could mean only one section of NPCs on a map.
You’ll see something like “The Business Network is escaping!” Above the map un the corner…
Haha, that was competition-grade sucking!
Yeah, the blinding items are so wonky I use the flash phone if I have it, it works 100% of the time. Either that of the Magnesium pouch from a crate… free stuff!
Does anyone know if the Starfish counts as a “shuriken item”?
I know that the Katana Kill Prestige objective counts “any Japanese swords or knives” (like the Tanto) in the challenge. But the Tanto isn’t a knife for the Knife Kill challenge…
Looks like your 47 had other plans.
@Courier6 Also Natural poison like Lethal frog or lethal flower from the map itself so try your showdown at Haven, Santa Fortuna or Ambrose Island. Lethal Poison that crafted from emetic mushroom at the safehouse doesn’t count.
Freelancer sometimes kinda makes me want to replay Carpathian Mountains.
You win this round, IOI.
Easiest way, use poisoned frogs or flowers. I got it in Santa Fortuna.
Then again it is quite annoying because when I farmed it I realized how few targets actually consume stuff…
Other question: Sometimes I kill a syndicate leader and then, after completing my mission but on my way out, an evacuation is triggered. I always rush to the exit then out of fear the game would call my mission failed if any suspect escapes. Would that be the case? Does the mission fail if ANY suspect evacuates even if (1) not the target and even (2) after killing the correct target?
Non-leader suspects escape is fine. Even if you knock the leader & make all other suspects escape before you kill the leader, you will not fail. Only the leader matter.
I have a similar question with regards to which melee items are considered “exotic”. The ice pick is given as the prime example of this, but wonder which others might apply. I’m assuming the Janbiya.
My time has come… it’s the 2nd Showdown of a Sickgames Campaign. Thank God it’s not on Hardcore mode
The most “John Wick Moment” I have ever had, it was in Dartmoor hardcore my prestige objective was timed get disguises. After killing a target with a proximity explosive I climb the ladder to Zachary’s room and pacify the bodyguard on the balcony to take his disguise, my target is a bodyguard walking in and out of the lawyer office, as I climb the window to the office Alexa spot the body on the balcony and enter in lockdown, she comes running to the very room I am, time passes as I wait patiently for she to leave.
My time is running low and I am trapped in a room with 3 bodyguards, Alexa and a lawyer or should I say they are trapped in a room with me. I punch the first bodyguard in te face with a baseball I’ve found on the lawn outside, using the taxidermy table as a cover I throw the baseball at the second guard, pacifying him, and then run to my target to fight him before he can shoot, after knocking him on the floor the lawyer is the next to receive the punch to the face treatment cause I need a new disguise, Alexa start runnig to call the guards but she is intercepted by a flying soda can.
Snap the neck of my target and walk pass the bodyguards guarding the hall unaware of what happened in the room behind them.
Lmao this is hilarious.
After several unsuccessful attempts, it’s done!
My first ever campaign completed! The end of a long journey. Speedrunning is definitely not my taste. Started the campaign past Thursday and I took my time for each mission (I took in average 25-30 min per mission).
I started by looking at the map the position of the different targets and find a way to reach them (which disguise?) but I also followed the targets, in order to find the good opportunity (is the target alone? is there a way to distract him? accident?).
For the missions, my loadout was generally the same: a wrech (free in the garage), a taser (free kill with guards), an explosive (if not other possibility) and a silenced gun (generally the HWK21 Assassin version). If I had the opportunity, I used a gas cannister for free explosion kill.
I tried to be the most discreet as possible. None of my mission went into a shootout
For the last syndicate, I didn’t care about objectives. If I had the possibilty, I went for. But if not, I didn’t care. I prefered plan my mission according to targets rather than objectives. I always did alerted territories first, in order to save a safe map for showdown.
Finally, for showdown, I took my time. Saved a map I like for it, and grabbed a disguise to follow the different suspects, finding their habits. Once the Head was identified, I tried to get him/her alone in a secluded place (through poisoning, or distraction) to avoid any alert if my main suspect turned out to be the wrong one.
Thx for the different tips I had read in the forum to help me for the Showdown
Time for a break now…
And for Hardcore mode? Hell no! Not ready for this. The mandatory prestige objectives are clearly a constraint for me! I’m very impressed by guys who did complete this mode!

Anyone else feel like this post could have been summarised in a sentence?
Maybe I missed something, but I learnt nothing from this. It’s entirely possible that I’m just stupid.
