Freelancer | Patch 3.170.1 | Bugs and Imperfections

It’s not a bug, the POs are randomly selected from a poom of possible POs (all of them) and so if you get any PO (or regular Objective) then it may collide with other Objectives or may be impossible (like the situation above)

Always make sure to check if the POs (especially in Hardcore) can be completed, if they cannot i highly recommend 2 options:

  1. picking a different one/picking a different map to use thoses POs on that works eg Paris doesn’t have safe so you’d pick Bangkok which dose have a safe
  2. throw your controller/PC across the room, if yoy manage to get it out the window that’s even better

As said above, nope it ain’t :blue_heart:

If it’s not a bug then it’s silly.

I always complete maps without a safe first, that way if I get the Open Safe - Eplosive objective I can just choose that as a super easy prestige objective.

Just had a campaign failure after executing all targets and accomplishing the prestige objective (timed - hide and seek). Left Paris with the helicopter with all targets killed and two minutes left on the clock.
What the hell? Again a story of the server not syncing up to what I actually did in-game?
Rather infuriating.
Anyone else this happened to?

Happened a lot to me with timed objectives and more recently with SA objectives.

That’s most likely a bug though there is a small chance it could be by design because IOI feels that Hardcore Mode is only truly hardcore if you fulfil all objectives and make it all the way past the exit and yet still have a chance of losing. Though most likely just a bug.

Based on the way 47 rotates on the spot in those videos, it seems like every time the objective didn’t fulfill, it was when you tried to move right after/while placing the phone (and 47 gets stuck & does his weird hand moving thing). That seems consistent with my experience as well. If I try to move too early and 47 rotates, the game gets confused.

So I don’t know if someone has mentioned this already but I’ve found a way to consistently pick up the fuse on the garage.

Change the decoration of the garage to the default one (wich is basically no decoration), then start a mission (leaving and re entering freelancer might work too but I didn’t try). When you get back to the safehouse go the garage, you’ll notice the fuse is gone, then just change the decoration and the fuse should spawn and it should be pickable. After that just change the decoration back to default again and repeat.

You don’t have to change the vehicles, just the walls of the garage.

Well, it’s not necessarily that the movement causes the objective to break, more that some underlying issue is causing both.

I don’t know how this specifically works, but if I had to guess I’d say something is preventing the “call meeting” interaction from resolving properly, making 47 repeat his animation, and confusing the objective.

You cannot check gun parts in shed if you unlock them

Who on earth leaves their coffee in the machine? What a strange suspect

Just noticed that today as well! Thought it was just on mine.

What mastery unlocks grapes? And when unlocked, where are the grapes?

47’s little garden patch next to the kitchen door, where he can rake the leaves and grows tomatoes in an earlier unlock.

Should unlock at mastery 76.

Got a camera “closeup” bug on ps4.

Yet another interaction-lock bug. Had an upgrade prompt for this bench and all prompts vanished except the one shown but that just acts like it’s working and does nothing like the other broken one in the kitchen.

I’m not that bad at math, but how do these numbers = 0 :merces: ?

I did fire off a loud gun (just for the heck of it) before exiting. Well, the results screen eventually went away and the game was more or less froze, but I was able to use Alt+F2 (for Ansel) and could move around a small bit. I could also open my inventory and select items. I could even drop them… :grimacing: Anyway, the game crashed when I tried to use Ansel a 2nd time.

And yes. I’m using the FL Variations mod.

Well, I finally unlocked the bomb-making bench in my garage. Managed to craft precisely 1 bomb before the power fuse glitch put it out of my reach, right alongside the car battery.

Man, can’t close the door, can’t keep the vehicle you want displayed as the only one seen leaving when generating a random exit, can’t pick up two of the most useful items for helping on certain missions… the garage sucks.

You made 1! I picked up the fuse, game crashed, i then couldn’t pick up the fuse, totally annoying

That’s probably why the game crashed.
