Yes, i know there’s a big freelancer discussion thread but id like this one to be more questions based for the community.
First, i just knocked a witness out and put her in a bin and she was still a witness despite me having done that before in Freelancer where putting them in a bin would remove my witness count so in this case i failed my no witness objective; was that because i was in alerted territory?
Also Diana mentioned “because of previous actions” so does that mean failing objectives too many times is more likely to have alerted territories in the same or next campaign or are you expecting to have some random ones regardless?
Not necessarily.
I think this is just line to introduce (excuse) the alerted territory/showdown, why it’s alerted.
I had an SA style walkthroughs of the whole campaign, but still this line was present on alerted territories.
I think “previous actions” in this stance mean that you’ve cleared previous level(s) out of syndycate members (targets) and that syndycate has been weakned by these actions, and now you have a last shot to get rid of the whole group and erase that syndycate from the history
Indeed. But you won’t be sanctioned in regular mode for ignoring prestige objective.
But if you playing hard mode, or whatever it’s called (the word has escaped me), prestige objective is mandatory.
You can’t start a mission not picking it and you will fail a mission not completing it
It doesn’t mean anything at all, it’s just fluff she says when the level’s alerted. You can get that dialogue on the very first mission of the first syndicate if you’re playing HC.
You don’t lose anything by failing them (unless you’re playing in HC), so not picking any’s just going to save you a couple of seconds in the safehouse if you don’t intend to do them. Personally I always pick one as I might change my strategy in the middle of a mission (like going for the prestige but skipping the regular objectives), and “either 0 or 1” is strictly better than “0”.
