I don’t blame them, they delayed that game like five times and changed the developers around halfway through or whatever. Super excited to see how Tlatoani works out though. ---

To be fair, they only publish this one, not develop it, but yeah, their DLC policy will certainly be a more secure source of income (especially since they recently came up with a new strategy on how to get money through it). Still, wish they had this sort of perseverence 10 years ago with East vs West… ---

I mean on the one hand, as someone who lives abroad and simply couldn´t (nor wouldn´t want to, for a number of reasons) carry his entire inventory of physical discs with him, I am grateful for digital distribution. It´s an absolute lifesaver. Sadly, digital releases lack any and all of the charm that came with the physical ones (oh how I long for the unique slideshows/videos/music that used to play during installation) and comes with the drawback of constantly risking delisting or downgrades due to licensing issues and remake/remaster releases (or just because), not to mention DRM and the always-online bullshit. At least GOG (and certain publisher platforms such as Matrix/Slitherine) allows for downloading and backing up the executables, but that really should become the norm rather than the exception (I wish, anyways 😢 ). ---
