I’ve heard, apparently from the hacker themselves, that they hacked Rockstar employees Slack accounts, which is some kind of internal network for employees to message each other and share content. This isn’t the first time Slack has been used to leak content either

I think the leak is surprisingly big compared to previous GTA leaks or previous leaks about specific video games. However, the leak is fairly small compared to what GTA VI will eventually be.
In my opionion, the most interesting bits of information from the leak are, that the rumors about a male and a female protaganist seem to be confirmed now. And that the new title will at least partially be set in Vice City.
But there is so much more, that we don’t know yet.
- Who are the protagonists? What is their story, what are their aims?
- What will the whole map look like? Will it be just the city (like in GTA IV) or do we get more areas around it (like in GTA V)?
- What kind of missions will we get?
- What will the online mode be like?
- How will the game be monetized?
So yes, it is a big leak compared to previous leaks. But there’s still so much left, that we don’t know yet. Surely Rockstar aren’t pleased that all this got public. However, I don’t think the leaked footage will hurt them very much.
EDIT:
I’m referring to the leaked video above. If the leaker actually has more data and makes it public, maybe even source code and early builds, then this will be a much bigger deal for Rockstar.

At this point R* / Take2 should at least be happy that only footage has been leaked on the internet and not actual builds.

apparently, the hacker has more. given they appeared to dish out 10k lines of source code, i wouldn’t be surprised if they had an early build somewhere. then again, i’m no expert on this stuff.

Take Two hitsquads are probably already on their way to this guy and his entire family tree to make them disappear for good under mysterious circumstances. Give it a few weeks till the first thing we hear of this hacker is his body being found somewhere in the Florida swamplands. (Thus confirming Vice City as the new setting).

Unfortunately for the people who are eager to get ahold of GTA 6 a internal delay is imminent now. With the leaks being extensive with source code being in the wild for both GTA V and GTA 6. This will have severe ramifications for the overall development of GTA 6. It won’t outright destroy the project, but Rockstars Development team are gonna need to update their source code now so the game isn’t essentially compromised at launch by hackers especially with how piss poor their online element is in terms of protecting the players in a peer to peer lobby.
Addressing the Hacker who graced the internet with stolen assets and videos. It seems this is the same person who hacked Uber recently. That being said I wouldn’t be surprised if the hacker in question is a black hat and doesn’t get caught, but I’d be glad to be wrong for the sake of the developers that this affects.

Nothing else got leaked apart from the 90 videos from the developers’ Slack as far as I’m aware 
the hacker said he had assets and source code for both GTA 5 and 6 but nothing’s been happening with those, the guy is trying to get money out of Rockstar though and if they refuse he will leak those online
there are tweets about someone who apparently bought GTA 5’s code for bitcoins but idk if that’s actual news or just random fakes
