Four trash games that have less resemblance to a football video game than Soccer on the NES, released in '85.
Game director Robert Kurvitz and art director Aleksander Rostov have released a statement alleging that ZA/UM was illegally taken over by fraud.
ZA/UM, of course, denies this and is alleging that Kurvitz and Rostov were lazy and toxic.
Canāt stick my finger in the toxic claim but lazy? I donāt know, didnāt Kurvitz create the company itself and was the writer and designer for DE?
Thereās only one Codename that gets me interested
I honestly wish and this is just probably me, but I wish Control was a one off game. I just donāt see room for a sequel without it being confined to the Bureau again.
I can see it going full X-Files and maybe offering 2 or 3 major hubs to chase around and explore active AWEs, on-the-field.
The Oldest House is also a never-ending deep well of weird, so Iām sure even if they had to restrict it to the same building, they could figure out a way to liven up the environment for another go at it.
For those interested, Avalanche Software have just released a deep dive look into Hogwarts Legacy (supposed to be releasing 10 February 2023) on their dedicated channel .
The issue with this is the Bureau itself is a reason why items from AWE can exist or co exist all in one place. How do sidemissions where you deal with varying items from AWE exist in major AWE hubs designed around said major AWE. It would just be better to continue focus on the FBC since we only saw a fraction of it all things considered.
Narratively I just donāt see the reason since AWE went and explained why the events of Control happened which was heavily influenced by Alan Wake in order to escape the Dark Place and sets up AW2. I need to see more from Remedy before Iām sold on a sequel to control.
Half-Life 3 soon, boyos!
Watching twitter sink, employees leave and get fired, and Elon change multiple stupid things to the siteās checkmark system has been kind of scary, but the multitude of obvious parody accounts that have sprung up to cause a bit of funny mischief has been fun to watch from a distance.
A few days ago I saw two things on twitter :
- AFP published (on all their accounts) an infographic on how to identify real verified accounts, and warning about ease of disinformation
- multiple organisations I follow posted āby the way, this is where we also are, remember those linkā
None of them are good for twitter.
Well curated, twitter can be very useful for institutions and journalism following. Both are already getting ready.
Me too! Iāve got it pre-installed. From what Iāve seen, itās such an original, innovative, and involved game.
In the news, there was an interesting tweet made recently from someone who initially suggested to be involved in the EU investigation into the Activision Blizzard King acquisition.

Itās one thing for Phil Spencer to say that CoD will remain forever on all platforms (including Nintendo if MS acquire ABK), but itās quite another for someone who is claiming to be connected to āThe Commissionā to make that claim. It turns out he overstepped his bounds and the EU commission were quick to clarify.
Game journalists wait their whole life to be able to write something like this⦠(Also, no ray tracing? If any game was meant to be focusing on God rays, itās this one!)
So, if Iām understanding it correctly, the Witcher update will basically be a mandatory patch?
Also, the Batman mod looks pretty dope.
Iām not sure, it might be a separate game maybe, kinda like the original version of Skyrim and the Special Edition? ![]()
āThe next-gen update is free for everyone who already owns any version of the game. For those who donāt have the game yet, a dedicated next-gen version, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition, featuring all enhancements, free DLCs and story expansions: Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine, will be available for purchase digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a physical release at a later date.ā
As for the Bible game⦠never change internet ![]()
Thatās what I was sort of hoping for, to be like Metro: Exodus or Mafia III, since next-gen updates tend to also mean āWeāre gonna increase the HW requirements for the game and potentially mess up its visuals and optimization, and thereās nothing you can do about it.ā
Problem is, the end of the article says that:
āItāll be free to us PC players that already own the game, and should just download like any other patch when it comes out.ā
So right now it sounds like if you own the game, itāll be auto-patched to the next-gen version⦠Might prowl the GOG forums later for answersā¦
