Telltale & Deck Nine’s The Expanse releases its first episode on July 27th, with the following 4 episodes releasing every two weeks.

Interested to see how this turns out, as based on interviews it seems Deck Nine did much of the development of the game, and Telltale has mostly handled the publishing and writing.
Their first big leap won’t happen until Wolf 2.

In case you wanna give the series a go:
Take-Two have released their financials for the financial year ending 31/03. Strauss Zelnick says the company earned 5.3 billion in that time and has projected that the company will earn 8 billion by 2025 which sounds crazy (unless you see it as evidence that GTAVI is imminent). Zelnick was also quizzed on AI and its possible implementation.

I think the only AI, John Carmack has ever worked on is his own inflated sense of intelligence because he always comes off as a wanker at best and a sociopath at worst…
I looked at who was attending and I was saddened (but not surprised) to also see Bill Willingham (Fables) also in attendance. I recognised literally nobody else by name or by work, I think it is just a bitchfest for has-beens and never-wills
And just within 24 the (first?) six DLC characters got leaked thanks to Amazon’s Italian homepage. 
Damn that was fast. But still, I’m gonna take it with a grain of salt.
Yeah, it’s a more credible leak than the usual „my father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate works at NetherRealm Studios" but unless it has been confirmed or data mined it’s wise to not get to hyped for a certain character.
Because even if these leak is correct, plans can change. After all they were certain that they would get Ash for MK 11, even hinting at him being the first Kombat Pack until it didn’t work out and they had to replace him with Joker.
The guest characters make it a very Reddit list, like someone at NetherRealm Studios had their teenage son pick the non-MK characters. Like a music studio looking at TikTok trends and then aping them.
It’s a theme again, mk x had classic horror movie villains, mk 11 had 80s action heroes and mk 1 will have violent super-villains
Ah well that makes sense, I didn’t even realise it was themed until you brought it up and I had a long thought about it.
The thing that surprised me the most is that two of these guests are from works created after 2000 and all of them only became really well known to the mainstream due to shows/cartoons created in the last few years.
A stark contrast to the previous guest who’ve been iconic and well known characters for decades, with Spawn and Kratos being the two odd ones out. Overall this are good news for people who like guest because it means characters from recent works also have a chance to gain a spot in the rooster.
I don’t like Guests in Mortal Kombat. I’d rather see Sektor, Kira & Kintaro 
Out of these three Sektor is probably the only one that has realistic chance at being in the next game. He’s a classic character and people really want their Cyborg(s) back.
Kintaro has the problem that he has to compete with Goro and Sheeva for the Shokan spot on the roster.
Kira hasn’t a snowball chance in hell. She’s a 3D era character and they are the developer’s neglected stepchildren. Worse, she’s neither a fan favorite like Havik or Nitara nor a character everybody makes fun of like Hsu Hao. She’s just mediocre. People remember the good and the bad ones, not the average ones.

But for real I guess the leak makes sense, most of the other DLCs have been themed pairs, and this one seems to be evil Superman-types.
It could very well be wrong or outdated by the time the game comes out, but damn if I wanna see evil Super JK Simmons beat people up. I wonder if they’d make him 3D…
I mean, he is a character the Warner Brothers own.
