Funny there was a painter in Cauldron Lake Lodge back in the first game, I wonder if they are connected…
Took them a year to do it, but hey, they finally did it! Including MKB support!!! (the only thing that still irks me about this collection are the inappropriate HW requirements, but しょうがない…)
All in all, Konami has been straight in their deal regarding the MC and Delta. I hope we see Volume 2 and MGS4 with it soon and released in a way better state.
Amen. Watching those interviews with Okamura over the year, you wish all devs were at least half as open and straightforward. I´m sure they´ve learned their lesson from the reception of Vol.1 and will at least try to release Vol. 2 in the “expected” state.
I´m going to TGS on Saturday - when I get to the Konami booth, I´m gonna give´em a JJ nod. They´ve earned it.

Friendly Reminder, Delta is slated for a 2024 release.
Is that confirmed/certain though? Like, I know it’s been featured in the SoP trailers among 2024 games and this year’s been given tentatively as a release date, but based on the recent statements about how they want to take their time with the game to get it right rather than rush it out, I was under the impression that (early) 2025 seems more likely.
So far no internal delays have been confirmed by Konami.
The 2025 release to my knowledge has been largely speculation without anything conclusive to support it.
There’s things to consider first and for most.
-
Konami has opened up Pre Orders for the title earlier this year.
-
The game is in a state where most of the development is done.
-
Various people within the industry and influencers have played the game already.
The only thing that is being withhold is announcements of any release date. That being said I need to state that Konami is being very tactful with their marketing and release schedule. At earliest our next update on Delta will be after Silent Hill 2 releases. Since Konami wants to focus their marketing on that game first before they go all in on MGS.

Oh it´s definitely just speculations (or rather assumptions/expectations) on my part. Like I said, I´m just assuming it based on their recent comments about not wanting to rush the release.
Wasn´t aware of this. There has been no such thing on Steam. Did they open those for Xbox, PS, or both?
True, but that does not deny the possibility of a 2025 release ![]()
Well, they´ve played the Prologue, not the whole thing. Either way, that also bears no indication of whether the release will come this year or next. By which I don´t mean to deny that it actually will come this year, just that the things you listed indicate it may come out this year, but I don´t find them conclusive either
We won´t know until Konami actually spill the beans.
Makes sense. SH2 comes out when, in about 2 weeks? I guess they can still put Delta up for a November or December release and just drop-announce it a month or two before that, though it´s a bit weird they would go for such a short notice window given the high profile of the game (they announced the release date for MC Vol. 1 four months in advance).
Also, they dropped a new trailer today. No update still.
The (excellent) Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are now available on Xbox and two of the Mana games are on Game Pass.
Only been physicals and special editions of the game. Digital store fronts need a concrete date before they can accept preorders.
Man, I´m kinda torn on this one… Like, Majima in a pirate game makes more sense than it should, and I´m sure it will just be pure bonkers child-joy-enducing fun (and no doubt more enjoyable than a certain “AAAA” game that came out earlier this year). But at the same time, the premise (at least from the trailer) just feels meh for some reason, and I´m just not keen on the Hawaiian setting (haven´t played IW yet, but I´d rather the series explored locations around Asia - not to mention it would be more fitting for a pirate game). Also, while I´m happy we´re finally getting a Majima-only game and his combat won´t be nerfed this time around, the scenes with the “aerial strikes” gave me Yakuza 5 Akiyama flashbacks - not in a good way.
Gonna get it at some point regardless, duh, but I still have 5-6 games in the series to beat in the meantime, so not anytime soon ![]()
I’m currently in the middle of Yakuza 7. Took a break from the series after basically playing through 3-6 non-stop. With the pirate game announcement, it makes me want to beat 7, Gaiden, and 8 before that comes out, will resume 7 soonish.
I mean, I took the Hawaiian setting as a way to essentially reuse the Hawaii city from Infinite Wealth. I wonder if the pattern will be to do these sorts of side games inbetween numbered installments, meaning fans still get games with action gameplay like Yakuza 1-6, then the new turn based stuff for 7 onwards.
I think it looks fun, I’m always up for more Majima time. I guess really my big question is whether or not we actually get to control the ship and get to do pirate-y things or not.
Here we go again
It’s nice the tf2 dlc will be added to consoles
I like the tree guy
Still don’t like the way this movie looks
The new Minecraft stuff looks great. We are more the builder kind of players and the last updates were so-so. Now this looks like we have plenty new stuff to farm and build. ![]()
