New game by Hazelight.

Now where have I heard Zoey before, hmmmm…

(seriously too, it’s nice to see someone who I recognize only as a target or random NPC get to be a main character)

Ok yeah that leaked collaboration is real

I like the way they handled her bat transformation

I couldn’t get the link to work but Dungeons & Dragons dark alliance will be shutting down on February 24th next year

Another Funko fusion dlc

Well deserved! :beers:

Also on Steam, STALKER 2 has been nominated for Game of the Year, Most Innovative Gameplay and Outstanding Story Rich :muscle:

I hope this game gets freed from its Apple Arcade exclusivity soon

I meant this as a joke but today’s update added this cel shaded leek in a pink and blue bag to the map so I guess we could actually be getting her soon

Also the dumb toilet collaboration should be out in like an hour

Most innovative gameplay? I can understand the other two, even though I haven’t played it, but from what I’ve heard, I was under the impression that the gameplay is pretty much the same like the original trilogy?

It is pretty old school like OG trilogy. I like to think it’s because of that people find it a fresh experience in 2024. People are just tired of Ubisoft-like open world slops like Far Cry.
I doubt it will win since there are way better / more polished games in those categories but it’s nice to see the game nominated

And maybe Microsoft should, you know, start supporting the little guys more than just the big dogs that in recent years stumbled with their releases cough Bethesda cough

Stumbled with their releases? Mate have you seen people talking about how good that Indiana Jones game is? Who do you think owns Machinegames?

Also if Todd can get 8,500 people to still play Fallout 76 then he is probably in no hurry to change his business model.

Fucking Teflon Todd. Some people fail upwards so people will succeed upwards. Todd is not satisfied with doing either so he invented the secret third thing, succeeding in parallel.

It is good but those numbers on Steam are pretty low. That ray tracing requirement probably pushed most buyers to Xbox / Game Pass and most won’t even bother to check the game out until they upgrade their GPUs.

Steam hardware survey shows what kind of hardware most users have, why put such a high requirement when most won’t be able to play your game?

Yep, that is why using Steam numbers are just a half-thought measuring stick, all of those Bethesda games are probably doing better numbers on Gamepass. I was going to mention it but I wasn’t talking about number of players but quality and word of mouth.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you, but PC Gamers (I guess all Gamers but I always find PC users more susceptible to it) have been big proponents of Hardware and Fidelity over Game. Not Bethesda’s fault of course but it is just the logical conclusion to that, Tech has outpaced Gamers in this instance.

I don’t know much about PCs so I am useless in this discussion. Maybe Todd just hates NVIDIA? Maybe Todd secretly hates PC gamers?

More like he loves Nvidia since their cards, even older ones, have better RT support than the AMD equivalents.

Sonic-Music was always great, i personally never liked any of the actual games I’ve played but the music was always fantastic. Then they started putting vocals into the tunes and it just became cringe.

4th patch for STALKER 2 just dropped, and check it out @Rimland, first batch of A-Life fixes :muscle:

I haven’t really followed much community discourse on Helldivers 2 recently, but ohhh man, another live-service monetized blunder…

(And another PR disaster - especially right after a big win like the Game Awards and Major Free Update - got Arrowhead to be a little more generous!)

TLDR: the items were originally datamined to come in a Warbond set (think battle-pass progression at a fixed price). But… and this was AH’s decision apparently, not Sony, they decided to sell each individual item (at a much MUCH higher price in total than a WB)

Usually, extra content is unlocked through a Warbond costing 1000 Super Credits (£7.99), which includes multiple weapons, armours, and cosmetic items. The Killzone 2 items are instead available to purchase separately, with all six items totalling 1,975 Super Credits - so two batches of 1000 Super Credits totalling £15.98, essentially doubling the price.

… and that’s only half of the planned crossover content! (Essentially “Page 1” of a Warbond) They’d want 20$ MORE for the second set. So, of course, backlash ensued.

Thankfully, they’re taking this negative bullet to the chest (honestly any normal greedy company wouldn’t fold this hard), as the items in the second set rollout will be given for free to the community.

@EvilGeniusRo Can’t wait for Stalker 2 to make it to PS5. Sadly my PC just isn’t able to run it, but it looks really good.

That was my guess as well, but if that is indeed the case, then people don’t really grasp the meaning of “innovative” :joy:

Nice! Hopefully within a few months, it’ll be a game fully worthy of its predecessors :crossed_fingers:
