While I’d love to see other Layton games on Steam/PS5 too, the one I’m hoping for the most is finally rereleasing the Ace Attorney crossover!
And the Nintendo Switch 2 is now mentioned on The ESRB page for the Guardians of the Galaxy game
This game is barely 3 years old and it’s already being taken down due to licensing? Jeez.
IMO not surprised given its run by the guy that ran Telltale into the ground, Kevin Bruner ![]()
Already been removed from Steam in the time since that article was posted. I literally just bought it on PSN just now, so if anyone wants it, you better move.
Twin Shot Deluxe, the first of the Nitrome Classics remake line of games, is coming out April 30 on Steam and Switch! (mobile too, though a bit later)
Super excited for this game, they took the core of the original Twin Shot 1 and 2 Flash games and went all out to enhance them:
- Every single bit of pixel art has been entirely redrawn and improved! Backgrounds, characters, tiles, animations, the works!
- 50 brand new levels set in Atlantis, with their own new enemies and mechanics
- All 150 levels from Twin Shot 1 and 2 have been redesigned with brand new layouts as well
- The original 150 level layouts are also included in the game as a bonus
- Several new skins for the angel cats: Yolk from Leap Day, Austin and Justin from Nitrome Must Die, even the chicken from Bomb Chicken!
- A bunch of extra ways to tweak the game to be easier or harder, including new hats which add even more gameplay altering tweaks
- And the game is now 60 fps and HD widescreen, instead of the originals which were 20 fps and 550x400 resolution. A pretty big improvement!
I cannot recommend this game enough, especially because it’s launching at the very reasonable $10 USD (with a 10% discount at launch on Steam). So if you own a PC, a Switch, or a smartphone, please get it on one or all of the platforms!
I’m ride or die with Nitrome, as a fan of theirs for almost 20 years now! I want this game to be a massive success so they’ll greenlight other remakes of their Flash/mobile games. So far they’ve also announced a Silly Sausage and Skywire remake, but I want to see even more: Bad Ice Cream, Rubble Trouble, Frost Bite, Mutiny, Icebreaker A Viking Voyage, Super Leap Day not relegated to Apple Arcade. So I’m trying to promote the game everywhere I can to make it a big hit for Nitrome!
Big, general enough news to go in the big general thread.
Beginning this year, future Call of Duty titles won’t join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. New Call of Duty games will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the following holiday season (about a year later), while existing Call of Duty titles already in the library will continue to be available.
On a personal level, I approve of this change, and it’s a very smart move on Asha Sharma’s part – but I am so far behind on my gaming, and there’s so much good stuff on the Premium tier, that I’m just going to stay there for now.
What a waste… imagine buying a whole company and then decide to not give your games at launch with game pass. This is the start of the downfall of Gamepass.
Surely this has gotta be one of the worst kept game secrets in a while right? How longs it been since this first leaked again?
I mean I’m not opposed to the Kenway games being remade.
Hey Ubisoft, If it’s so good, stop talking about it and release a demo.
Gotta say, quite a few additions seem nice, be it the enhanced naval combat, the changes to the stalking missions, or what appears to be the addition of some sort of stealth system. Then there´s the usual nuisances like that overblown parry/block sparkling effect or those sound effects accompanying takedowns… (and Denuvo, ugh..)
Y´all oughta get the original if you haven´t yet, since it´s most likely gonna disappear when this comes out.
The rhythm game Rhythm Doctor launched a new collab-level with the game Beatblock yesterday, also launched a mobile version of one of its minigames: Rhythm Weightlifter.
It’s a totally free app and challenging, fun tiny rhythm game.
Rhythm Weightlifter News
You can now play Rhythm Weightlifter, the polyrhythm-centric minigame from Act 5, as its own standalone game! We’ve released it on mobile (iOS and Google Play) as a free game. When you beat it, you unlock the new Infinite Mode. Let us know how far you go!
is it just me or do their faces look weird when they start talking? also i feel like video game remakes nowadays are not really remakes but heavily upgraded remasters but with brand new additions and new side stories
Oh man, another VR studio getting hit by layoffs.
And worrying when they have an Alien sequel in the works!
(Rogue Incursion was marketed as Part One – and even has a Flat Version, but I guess that didn’t recoup costs enough)
Not news per se, but an entertaining and interesting read.
This isn’t a reply since I can’t remember who said it (I think @thechicken ?) or a keyword for the way it was worded but I remember someone pointing out wishing that the new LEGO Batman game listed out the first appearance of all the suits turns out it actually does :3
Also oooooooooooh
Any Austin did a video about which game had the best nightclub implemented in a video game. You’ll never guess which one is it ![]()
