Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time remake looks really weird. Like an AI Fan Trailer.

Not sure what to think about it, but i think i’ll play it.

I’m mixed on a lot of stuff. If it has QOL improvements, great. The extreme detail in some things is… odd.

I think this image sums it up quite well.
The side characters have a smoothed polygon style look, like they were HD remade from N64.
Link himself looks like a full-blown remake from scratch. You can see his individual hair follicles, the texturing throughout his whole outfit. It’s weird.

I do like the meme opportunities from the remake cutscenes though

This shot of Ganondorf made me think they were trying to replicate the look of those old school 3D promo renders, but like you say it clashes with the Environment.

It’s beautiful…..

Oh also The Knight and The Houndmaster are getting one ig

Why was that a minigame to begin with?:sob:

It’s kinda a double edge sword. The mini game gave a buff to the people interacting with it, but you made noise for Michael to detect you during the process so it’s risk vs reward.

the oversight was Loomis who is middle age being able to have sex with 17 year old high schoolers. My guess is it was an unintentional oversight where they didn’t flag hero characters to make them unable to interact with this type of thing.

It’s funny but Jesus it’s bad.

Horror Inc is suing Gun Interactive over alleged unpaid royalties for F13 The Game.

Gun Reveals Horror Inc is responsible for the games demise and shut down.

Gun also reveals they’ve attempted a remaster that would continue the games legacy, but Horror Inc didn’t let them.

this development recontextualizes this almost decades long story and it wasn’t on my bingo card.

Well, shit. Playstation canceled Kojima’s next project PHYSINT so he instead went to Xbox who will now be publishing that game alongside OD as well. :grimacing:

Haha I was already making peace with potential Death Stranding sequels sticking to PS Exclusive since Sony tries to push for it more.

Man Kojima is going to be really bummed when Microsoft turn on him on the end as well. I think he is the one bridge Xbox haven’t burned to the ground or mucked around with.

Either Kojima is gonna burn through the last of Microsoft’s money, or they might actually make some sort of profit for it. :man_shrugging:

Apparently Death Stranding 2 only sold 2 million copies, less than Death Stranding 1 did in a similar time frame. And with the expanded cast and bigger tech, the budget must have been pretty astronimical for Sony…

But man, maybe people were turned off by “More Death Stranding”, people already made up their minds.

If PhysInt is supposed to be Kojima’s successor to Metal Gear (billed as an action-espionage game) I’m sure a lot more people might be interested at that. I feel like Sony is really gonna regret this…

We don’t know anything about the game beyond that though. Even Physint is the working title for the project. I think we should at least know about this game before we go around declaring it an Xbox exclusive masterpiece or doomsaying for Sony.

Games made at a fraction of the budget made more of a return than both games combined, a name on a box can only be so desirable for so long. The fatal flaw of all passion projects is nobody is as pasionate about making them as you are.

That is my addition to auteur theory, I call it Jack’s Law and it states “An auteur is only as good as the other guy’s money.”. There is nothing special about them aside from their uncanny ability to drain other people’s money at the same rate as an industry hack.

I call it business calculus. If someone takes two blank checks into diminishing returns then sadly no passion or “visionary” pitch is going to save you from being let go. it just sucks that Sony gave Hideo the cracker factory treatment and not a send off but the sad reality is that it makes business sense until we learn more about the decision if we ever do.

That being said this was perhaps the worst day possible for Sony to make this news given how right I was about Wolverine.

I never liked Wolverine or Gambit for that matter, i know Gambit isn’t in the game (to my knowledge) but it just needed to be said.

My Steam Deck Friends, some good news:

Hooray for less pop-up launchers!!

In a news post on Steam for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, they are testing a new feature called Ubisoft Connect Services to give us a more streamlined launch experience on Steam, while still offering the cross-progression, cloud sync, and challenges that come from Ubisoft Connect
