Gaming video essayist Jacob Geller was apparently accused of sexual assault in 2016. His university found him credibly guilty and took action by suspending him for one semester. His college radio fired him from his job. More information and corroboration certainly needs to come to light.

In times like these I try not to think of how disappointed I feel, but how crushed and betrayed survivors of assault must feel for the rest of their lives.

Well it looks like I need to go diving into my subs for him and get him off of there.

That’s… yikes. Damn. Ugh.

Now that I’ve got conflicted feelings on this: about his body of work vs him as a person, but I’ll link this essay that sums up a lot of those thoughts.

At the very least I hope whoever and wherever the victim is, they live a great and happy life and doesn’t get pulled into this maelstrom of public debate.

Well written. Thanks for sharing.

Halloween The Games 2026 Content Update:

The Important TLDR:

  • Sequel Content

    - Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers is the focus for this update, Myers appearance in the film will be added with the mask that was originally designed by Greg Nicotero.

    - The Tower Farm Map will be releasing for free with this update, the map will encompass Pumpkin Patches, Farm Houses, Barns, Trailer Park, and most importantly for gameplay new escape methods.

    - Halloween “2018” Myers will be added aswell, with Christopher Nelson who created the Mask for 2018, Kills, and Ends being consulted and brought in to help with the creation of this DLC.

    - Myers Skins $9 USD Individually

  • Two New Civilians

    - One Female One Male

    - Bundled Together $9 USD

  • DLC Costume Pack

    - Halloween Themed

    - 14 Outfits 1 Per Civilian

    - 42 Tints 3 Per Civilian.

    - $9 USD

Understanding The Reveal of Sequel Content:

Sequel Content being announced is huge, it secures the games future in a way that makes it so the player-base gets content from these films while producing original content aswell. Fortunately a large majority of the franchise with the exception of two are pretty safe to expect will inevitably be released

Halloween 4-5 were a given cause of Trancas. They were also leaked when the game released. Halloween “2018” is really where the focus is here cause it confirms two things and that’s Universal and Miramax being involved.

What does this mean?

Halloween 2 (1981), Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, H20, Halloween Resurrection, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends can be in the game.

Miramax especially is important since they own the other half of the IP rights of the series with the other half being owned by Trancas.

RZ Halloween Films are a little more ambiguous. I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume we will never see stuff from these films, but that’s simply because the people who owns these films don’t really care about them.

Anywho… $40 worth of DLC. Game already doubled in cost.

We heard you liked Halloween, so we made Halloween-themed DLC for your Halloween game so you can Halloween while you Halloween…

I’m sure it’s “Halloween - the IRL Holiday themed” but just saying “Halloween-themed” in a game full of Halloween - the movie franchise content, is funny.

Only DLC pack I’d care about is one that lets me play as Busta Rhymes.

Rockstar have teased some of the stations for the games. If you don’t want any of the content spoiled then be sure to avert your eyes.

Some things I noticed:

Morgan Wallen sucks. I guess this isn’t an observation and I will leave it up to the viewer if you think I mean as a person or as a musician. (It’s both)

No seriously, they already have Lana as the host and her husband is also on the station, it literally could have been the both of them. I know her husband is a regular (Florida standards) dude so it isn’t like the world would be missing out…

It is nice to see the Caribbean Latin music return after its absence in V. Sure Bad Bunny might not have gotten his entry into Sony’s Spiderverse but he gained access to GTA heaven.

Speaking of international music not heard in a while it is also nice to see a marked return to African-centric music, this time encompassing a wider variety of African music styles. The last station to platform African artists was the afrobeat station in IV.

They didn’t even hide that The Chamber is voice by half of Slayer and that, perhaps for the first time I can recall, there will be returning music. “Raining Blood” is set to return after first appearing in the OG Vice City’s V-Rock station.

Also I find it funny how there are two Ozzy solo songs in the whole series and the two Sabbath songs in the series are both from Dio’s tenure with the band. Like some sort of weird cosmic balancing act.

If I had a nickel for every time Rockstar had a pop music station with a supermodel as their host I would have two which isn’t a lot but it is weird it happened twice. It also seems Robyn has been elevated to host after her song was in the last game.

Hearing “Electric Feel” makes me feel old, I don’t like that at all.

Gonna be an experience listening to DSC, I know it would be some sort of heresy but I am hoping for an Outkast song to appear at some point.

The chances for MSX FM to return are yet again shrinking.

I think the best you can hope for is that a few drum and base songs to appear on KaleidoscopeFM and even then I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Yeah I guess it would take yet another Liberty City game set in the 2000s for that to return. But GTA probably will from now on always be set in {{current year}}.

Yes, a lot of GTAIII’s radio is certainly of its time for better or worse. Club music genres always get it the worse though. Listen to MSX then SF-UR then Electro-Choc then FlyLoFM then LS-UR all back to back. You would be beside yourself that all those stations fall under the same “dance radio” banner.

That is true, these are all too much of their own kind to ever be back. I would probably even ditch Drum’n’Bass stations because we need Jungle I’m afraid.

MSX will always be this little weird relic from before R* had the money and resources to make these sorts of more accurate and detail laden radio stations and they had to stick with what they knew even if this British pirate radio station makes no sense or they had to write their dodgy parody songs or use classical music (which is also returning in VI after no classical station being on the dial since LCS) though the existence of that station is leaked.)

Crazy things happen when you make your game 90% off…! :exploding_head: (This broke into the Steam Top 10 Most Played Games for a little bit)

Tbh very well deserved! Probably the best live-service multiplayer title out there right now, given how all the added environments/levels have been free, tons of free earnable cosmetics and limited time events for it, and you can easily earn the premium currency to buy more permanent season-pass-type things without spending a cent more.

Kinda funny given how grotesque and perverse the horror content and themes are in this game. Super consumer-friendly, yet has tons of consumer-unfriendly visuals: Very gory murders to witness/perform on poor individuals… but if you don’t think about that part, you’ll be okay!:winking_face_with_tongue::victory_hand:
The team is also from Montreal! :canada:

Now this is a gifted article so you should be able to read it (Fuck you, Michael Bloomberg) but holler if you can’t. Again I have already done a few articles for the game already but Jason Schreier actually does journalism in this article and asks some questions about the working conditions at the company itself compared to RDR2’s development cycle.

A funny thing I saw is that now the Zorrusso is made by an actual dedicated parody of ItalDesign called GranForma instead of it being lumped into the Pegassi (Lamborghini) brand for almost no reason other than the Zorouno sharing an engine with the Huracan and having a bull in its logo of course.
