It’s not like Epic / Tim didn’t know the risks

To follow up with Castlevania Advance Collection.

Cover Art:

Description from the ESRB:

This is a collection of four classic Castlevania games in which players battle monsters and attempt to overthrow Dracula and his minions. From a side-scrolling perspective, players traverse platform environments and use whips, boomerang-like blades, and grenades to kill fantastical creatures (e.g., vampires, demons, harpies, ghouls). Several enemies emit splatters of blood when injured or killed, and some levels / environments contain larger depictions of blood: tears/pools coming from a statue; a bat crushed in a giant’s hand; a figure impaled on a stake. A handful of small female demons / monsters are depicted topless. The word “bastard” appears in the dialogue

Also Dracula X is included apparently hence four games.

I havent watched stream, but big news here are Bayonetta 3 and Mario movie, starring Christ Pratt

Chris Pratt better not be playing Mario or Luigi, please.

(Also, FYI, we already got the better brotherly-love animated film starring Chris Pratt, and it’s name is Onward)

It is real. Also, VA’s on Twitter are having none of it

Because stunt casting a big name to play Mario worked out so well the first time. Also Pratt is the stupidest choice you could possibly make.

Y’know, I just started explaining to my parents why this news annoys me and I ended my rant legitimately getting mad.

How–
How the flip do we get a Super Mario movie, video game’s most Iconic mascot, and they feel the need to plug Celebrity voice actors.

I have no words. :rage:

I dunno I want to see Keegan Michael-Key voice Toad like he will just say “You done fucked up now, Bowser”. But yeah it is king of amazing to see a film be so oddly miscast with such amazing talent (and Seth Rogen). To make matters worse Mario’s actual voice actor is cameoing in the film.

Exactly. Those are all good and fun actors, sure, and seeing Key play Toad would be fun (as a weird joke) but… this is really what we’re getting?

And Martinet, despite being in the cast as a cameo, is just that? Ugh

It seems like that is what Mario fans are getting also Jack Black should have played Wario.

2022: the year we get a Mario movie starring Chris Pratt and a Sonic movie with Idris Elba as Knuckles. Insane really. I mean at this point, surely most people know what Mario sounds like right? His English voice is iconic. I guess I just don’t get it really, do ordinary movie goers really go see an animated movie based on the voice cast? Even more so for a kid’s film? I guess Hollywood thinks so.

Yes they most certainly do and they do so because it is true. A casual cinemagoer has two concerns: Is the acting “good”? and Is the story “good”? Nothing more and nothing less, big actors are “good” actors and they are “good” because I have heard about them which means they are always “good”.

I suppose I always found that true for live action movies, where the actors are on screen acting. I didn’t think such thinking would apply to animation. I struggle to imagine someone seeing an ad for the new Mario movie and thinking “I’ll go see it depending on who Mario is.”

Ah well you see those are actually Nerdy Cinemagoers who are different but not wholly dissimilar creature to a Casual Cinemagoer. They operate with three questions in mind: “Does the cast fit a Reddit fancast?”," Is there any “politics” in it"? and “Does this conform to exactly how I wrote it in my head?”. They can’t accept anything if they think even one of these things is remotely off.

So far I have seen people bring up how they don’t see these characters matching their actors. Which seems to be a fair assessment so far because this is one of the few instances where they are actually right in their complaints.

Your turn America / EU.

To be honest I am surprised they did not pick Adam Sandler. :stuck_out_tongue:

It seems that there’s been a bit of drama at GOG, a store front that sells DRM-free games; their tagline: “You buy it, you own it.”

However, there has been a backlash against Hitman being sold on their store, due to it being necessary to be online to access certain features. At the moment, Hitman has a score of 1.4/5 for all the wrong reasons. You can check out Eurogamer’s article on it:
