Iām still angry that this game was canceled. Unbelievable.
Mundfish have just released a story trailer and window release video and it looks very impressive. But as it says at 1.47, āWhat the bloody hell is going on?ā
The video section from 2.30 onwards is literally the definition of a release window teaser!
Things arenāt looking too great for Team 17
Staff say Team17 has signed too many games, including those with strict deadlines that have to be shipped despite not being ready.
This reminds me of Telltaleā¦
Ooh, this aināt a happy story.
Stambled on a video about Google ditching Stadia.
Author declares that Business Insider reporting Stadia not anymore foreground to Google.
Supposedly the revolutionary service is not interesting to users.
It should have been profitable, but instead it generated payouts to developers and publishers.
Users been using trial period and then just stopped using the service because not that large library doesnāt contain modern, hot and popular games. Rescuing scenario of huge amount of exclusivity deals from independent developers didnāt work because companies said Google being too greedy and offered them too low rates not worth even talking about.
Current priorities of Google is supposedly to sell Stadia to someone else.
In the end author says that Google may rebirth Stadia into Google Stream because Pelaton, companyās partner, using streaming technology from Google, named Google Steam, for its latest game Lanebreak.
I donāt really know how to process this info, because I never had a chance to even try Stadia.
Because⦠well, author is right here - Iām not interested even in activating trial period
I canāt give you a source video link because itās not in English and you unlikely understand something
Is it right that Sony have done this?
Hard to tell without knowing what was cut.
Iām intrigued to know what Sony found so unacceptable in a game aimed at adults that neither the rating/certification boards nor Microsoft found necessary to remove or censor. In time it might come to pass that Sony made the right move and no one else was brave enough, but I feel very uncomfortable with a corporation making a decision on behalf of people old enough to make their own decisions.
I generally favor for giving devs all their artistic freedom, but as long you can imagine something you can understand Sony would not like to distribute, it might be better to wait for details.
So thereās a moment in the game where you (minor spoilers) cut off the face of a dead person and put it on your own face. Apparently Sony didnāt like the idea of this as an interactive mini game. Instead, this will just be a cutscene in the PS versions.
The video above starts at said mini game.
VIDEO GAMES!
But you donāt understand!!! It is transgressive, dark and edgy which means it makes me feel like a big boy now!!
How disgusting, what kind of sick freak you have to be to enjoy something like that? Iām off to play Mortal Kombat
While the removed content hasnāt been disclosed, even from our preview, itās clear Martha Is Dead plans to push the limits of whatās been done in console horror games beyond whatās already available on PlayStation. In an example from our demo: āDuring one particularly disturbing dream sequence, the player has to physically cut off someoneās face (in unflinching, graphic detail) and wear it as a mask.ā
Fffffffffuck. Just⦠Whyā¦
For the exact reason we are doing it right now, because it gets people talking about it.
Remember, donāt believe the hype
Hyperbolica will be released in a month:
It will be a one-of-a-kind game in a non euclidean world. It is worth to check out the other videos.
Tagging @Euler13 for the unlikely chance he did not hear of it yet, although it is Steam only. But I assume the min requirements are not too high.
This was completely off my radar. Thanks for sharing.
As Urben suggested there are other videos. If anyone is interested, the creator of the game has produced this video, which gives a really nice introduction to the weird world of non-Euclidean geometries:
I love that the game is releasing on Pi day. I might have to get a birthday present for myself.
Nintendo acknowledged those concerns in its FAQ with the following question and answer ā which it deleted from the support site after the notice went live and fans called it out:
*Once it is no longer possible to purchase software in Nintendo eShop on Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, many classic games for past platforms will cease to be available for purchase anywhere. Will you make classic games available to own some other way? If not, then why? Doesnāt Nintendo have an obligation to preserve its classic games by continually making them available for purchase?
Across our Nintendo Switch Online membership plans, over 130 classic games are currently available in growing libraries for various legacy systems. The games are often enhanced with new features such as online play.
We think this is an effective way to make classic content easily available to a broad range of players. Within these libraries, new and longtime players can not only find games they remember or have heard about, but other fun games they might not have thought to seek out otherwise.
We currently have no plans to offer classic content in other ways.
Welp, thats it. Nintendo has finally completely accepted a subscription-based, game ārentingā service model to play legacy titles.
ā¦that currently have no way to be played on modern hardware, apart from a catalog of really-vintage NES, Super NES, and a few N64 titles.
