The Dems are all cuddled up in a corner; Booker, Ossoff, Murray, Klobuchar, Wyden, Alsobrooks, Rochester. Booker and Ossoff fist bumped. Kelly had to loosen his tie. Murkowski and Ron Johnson hugged. Hawley, Tillis, Murkowski and Collins voted aye, fuck them. Klobuchar and Warner are laughing about something.
Slotkin’s wearing peach, Ernst purple. Slotkin and Schiff are talking, she’s saying something about putting something on paper. Slotkin’s talking to Ossoff now.
She’s over 70, she’s a woman, and I bet that dress has short sleeves so totally understand her being cold. She’d probably be cold on Waikiki.
But glad to see at least some of the BS come out of the bill prior to it passing the Senate (although some other BS was also added in its spot). Now back to the House of Reps to see if they will pass it in its new form or if a committee will be needed to find the middle ground between the two versions.
They’ll pass it. The House Republicans can talk a big game but in the end they’re all as spineless as the rest and will bow down to Trump in the final hour, while putting on a show for their constituents to make it seem as if they fought hard for them over it (which nobody except the Kool-Aid drinkers will believe anyway).
We will have to see. The margins are thin and the GOP can’t afford to lose many votes (assuming all Dems vote against). I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not in its final form yet.
You know what, even if they end up passing, just don’t do it until next week at least, that’s all I ask. That fucker wants this passed and on his desk before the 4th because he had already scheduled a nationwide victory tour to celebrate its passing, and he’ll either have to cancel those events or go to them without the victory they were meant for, either one will make him look like a fool and piss him off something fierce. So, purely to ruin Trump’s weekend once again, go ahead and pass the fucking thing if you’re going to you traitorous bastards, just don’t agree on anything until the weekend is over.
Or the gov’t over charged when it reached for the RICO act.
Interestingly just a day or two ago the jury wanted to be done. They had reached a verdict on all the charges except one and they told the judge there were jurors on both sides who can’t be swayed. Then less than 48 hours later those jurors have swayed as there isn’t a hung jury on that last charge. I’d be curious to see if that last charge was the sex trafficking or the racketeering as it would mean it took them little time to come back with not guilty on the other. I’m totally assuming here it wasn’t one of the little charges he was found guilty of since it was one charge but two counts of it.
