Graham doing in death what he loved doing in life, stealing Mitch McConnell’s thunder.
I kind of love how, less than a week after his death, republicans all over Washington are scrambling to co-opt his death and his supposed stances as a way of bolstering their own agendas and trying to pass legislation that they want under the guise of doing it in his name because it’s what they claim he would want. It shows that none of them really give a shit about Graham or the fact that he’s gone, just how they can use him even in death. Considering how he would suddenly turned on any stance that could benefit him, he deserved it, and I love it for him. I also think it’s a preview of what to expect once McConnell is officially gone, and likely for Trump himself, even if he’s not in office when he finally keels over.
Politics, art, the media and war - they all have in common that there is no ‘no go’ area. Be assured that the deaths of these politicians will be co-opted just as callously
I’m honestly surprised they aren’t trying to turn his death into a conspiracy theory, and blame the “radical left” for having him murdered. That probably shows how long my expectations for them are.
In British politics news, I’m backing the appointment of John Healey as the new Chancellor Of The Exchequer to be a big success in executing policy.
Should’ve titled it ‘Spider-Man helps a person across the road’ but I respect them being factually accurately ![]()
This whole thing with Fauci is enraging and depressing… not because of Fauci, no way, I think he’s a health hero for managing to control the pandemic spread as best he could in 2020, despite all the insanity from certain people back then…
But man, they’re taking him to trial and he has to invoke the 5th for every single question just because if he answers anything normally they don’t like, they can somehow turn that against him to throw him in jail, all because he made their all knowing cult leader DJT look like a stupid baby during the lockdowns. ![]()

Fuck…
Oh I remember this, I pretended to be a Slovakian national so I could vote on it. I kinda hope one of the bird ones wins it because I felt their were overall better than the cultural figures. The cultural figure ones had reverses that were too corpo and there was one that was almost like a World’s Fair design.
As a follow up, the GOP now wants to hold him in contempt for -checks notes- invoking the 5th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I feel this would be a difficult one for the current Supreme Court originalists to argue is contrary to the wishes of the founding fathers who drafted and approved the Bill of Rights, on which the 5th Amendment sits alongside the 1st and 2nd…
The Clacton by-election is on Thursday. If there was any justice in the world, it would be our Bindependence Day. Sadly not, but while Farage will probably win, I hope this whole affair at least damages his reputation. FFS, Newzoids took the piss out of Farage with this song back in 2015, before Brexit, and it seems like he has never left. With how much political turmoil and rotating prime ministers there have been in the last decade, he’s arguably got far more longevity than half the current Labour cabinet, and current prime minister.
It’s nice though that Count Binface is actually in Clacton, unlike ol’ Nige, and doing some promoting as Thursday draws near. I hope at the bare minimum he gets a significant vote share, like a 1000+ votes for a novelty candidate would really be something. Although with 34(!) people standing, and no one from a major party aside Farage, it’s going to be a fun affair when Farage has to stand next to all these wacky independents in a crowded gym hall on Thursday night.
I mean, I would gladly trade Marco Rubio’s life for my own and I would do it in a heartbeat if that.
Hell, I’d trade his life for a can of Pringles. The small one.
Wait by small one do you mean Rubio or the Pringles?
I mean that his life isn’t even worth the full-size can.
I know, I was just taking a cheap shot at Rubio’s height.
