Every time I think “Oh the bar cannot be set any lower than this bottomless abyss of stupidity” and there he goes, setting it even lower again and again.

Trump technically the real life version of Eric Cartman, self serving, a bigot, a lier and have no problem forgetting the past to make it fit his truth. I find it scary that he was even elected to begin with and I find it even more scary that it seems like the U.S havn’t learned anything. Especially because even more celeberties wants to run for President 2020, like Opera and even The Rock is considering running. There is no question about that they are much better people then that Orange goo 'man.

But they need a serious candidate, a person who got political experience, a person who can lead. Not another celebertie, even if they are like able and could probably do a better job then Trump. Sadly this hole circus have legitimized the thought that everyone with a big public following can run for office.

Celebrities running for Presidents, that sounds like a bad joke but it’s our reality. Well if the options are a second term for Trump or Rock I’d vote good old Dwayne any day, hell,I’d pay him to Rock Bottom Trump out of the White House. But the USA definitely needs better candidates, celebrities running for president shouldn’t become a “thing”. It sounds like the concept for a movie to be honest.

What about Ronald Reagan🤔

#3016

Daily dose of stupid.

#3017

Hahaha, i believe it is F-35 we bought from US, F-52? Not bad for a self proclaimed genius :joy:.

#3018

Ronald Reagan had political experience before he became President of the United States; he was the Governor of California from 1967 to 1975.

#3019

Political Experience and being Utter Scum is more dangerous than no political experience and being Utter Scum though.

The Governor of the state I will soon be moving to is going around ALLEGEDLY taping up women and fucking them after taking pictures of them without consent. What a wild boy. those seal team six boys are something else eh?

Everybody want’s to talk about God after they get in trouble sexually. No one ever talks about God for tax evasion or other shit but if they catch you fucking on someone you shouldn’t have suddenly God was there patting the small of your back as you went in for another thrust.

She stated she agreed to go to his house to “talk.” It’s unclear where Greitens’ wife or children were at this time.
The woman said that when the sexual encounter began that Saturday and said it was consensual.

Woman: "He said: "I'll make you feel better. I'll make you feel good. Come downstairs. I want to show you how to do a proper pull-up. And I knew he was being sexual and I still let him. And he used some sort of tape, I don't what it was, and taped my hands to these rings and then put a blindfold on me.”

She went on to say that some of his actions-scared her.

Woman: "I didn't even know. I feel like I don't even know. I was just numb. I just stood there and didn't (expletive) know."

She went on, describing what Greitens allegedly did next that made her feel sick.

Woman: “He stepped back, I saw a flash through the blindfold and he said: "you're never going to mention my name, otherwise there will be pictures of me everywhere."

Her now ex-husband said that statement upset him.

“He took a picture of my wife naked as blackmail. There is no worse person,” the ex-husband told News 4. And that is still what upsets him. He told News 4, “I think it’s as bad as it gets, It’s as bad as it gets when someone takes advantage of something.”

I can believe this because Greitens strikes me as the kinda man so full of himself his pick up lines contain stuff like “Watch me do exercise” (Pull up/ push up) I mean he approached a married woman with the “Let me make you feel good.” line. Besides all that this strikes me as very methodical . Greitens knew what he was doing and had done it before. You telling me this is his first time cheating and he does it in his home and knows to take “insurance” pictures. Let alone he is doing bondage. I mean bondage and cheating is one thing, but the guy is trying to cover his tracks. This is not something a one time fling heat of the moment sex partner does. Greitens playing Guantanamo bay sex games with people wives.

Cheating is one thing, revenge porn another. To me he has greatly fucked up. If your wife can’t trust you to control your dick how can the voter trust you to control the budget. If you can betray and lie to your wife daily how much more will you do to the voters?

#3023

… you saying Reagan did a bad job then?

#3024

Almost every President ends up doing a “bad job”, but especially Reagan. What a vile human being he was.

#3025

You realize that despite him being a knee deep conservationist he indulted about 3 million indoccumented immigrants right? Not to mention he was quintessential to push back communism from Germany, Granada, Central America and the fall of he Soviet Union?

He was literally America’s most popular president since forever.

Like… dude… stop looking at everything so black and white every time.

#3026

And how exactly did he “push back communism from Central America”? By overthrowing democratically elected Governments. By financing and backing right wing extremists like the Contras - Groups who literally committed war crimes and acts of genocide, which the US was prepared to turn a blind eye to because they were exterminating “communists”.

So, between him and George H.W Bush, they presided over an administration whose policies towards South and Central America included… genocide. Yeah, ok. Higher taxes sound like a better deal to me.

And Winston Churchill is commonly cited as the “Greatest British Prime Minister” of all time from people who wear rose tinted googles and only selectively remember his leadership during World War 2 and not the imperialism he participated in and stood for.

Popular =/= Right.

#3027

Agreed. But he was who was needed when they needed him. Not anymore, perhaps not ever again, but I don’t think this level of demonization is necessary. Nor for Churchill. Not even for Thatcher.

#3028

Demonization isn’t the appropriate word for someone so revered despite participating in acts so disgusting. The elite and powerful like Reagan didn’t and don’t need protection from “demonization” - They needed more people to speak up, challenge and hold them accountable for their actions.

#3029

Thinking this again I agree but I think you’re misunderstanding the context. Reagan was right to act how he did when he did it. And that was a bad thing, but it was the right course of action at the time. Let’s agree that what is “good” does not have to be “fair”, and what is fair does not have to be good either; and that both may or may not be right. Very paradoxical, it may seem… but it isn’t. Words are important.

Sure, he deserves scrutiny for doing what is bad. But not for doing what was right…
