Grand Theft Auto V

So we were promised heists in the “Spring updates” and spring is over this weekend.

To me it seems like the new gen announcement was timed now to smokescreen for the lack of the update. Seems like most people are way too excited about the autumn release and heists are being forgotten apart from a few people who get called out on being “entitled” if they bring it up.

I personally don’t care too much for heists specifically, but i’d like to see anything new at this point, because High Life was a massive letdown.

This brings me to the “I’m not a hipster” update. The actual banner was up on the Xbox marketplace, but it’s been taken down since. Not sure if the actual description was from XBM, but it sounded really cool.

Express your individualism and stand out amongst the Mirror Park dwelling cool kids with The post ironic, artisanal, organic, entirely independent, re-claimed

Make sure to try all these out in the slew of new Jobs, as part of your long and hard journey to become one of Los Santos’ effortlessly cool. Update content. Hipster pack is happening!

Finally I can spend my money, buying and tuning the Blade, Glendale and Rhapsody for sure.

Im so glad they updated the inventory with the convertible banshee. That was one of my favorite cars and single player news weird that they wouldn’t bring it into multiplayer.

Also, I heard that the payout for a successful heist was extremely low. A friend of mine told me it was something like 20k split between four players.

There’s no word about Heists or payouts yet. I just downloaded the Hipster update with this method though.

Step 1) Restart your Xbox Console
Step 2) After signed back in scroll over to the Bing/Search tab
Step 3) Enter “not a hipster” without the " marks
Step 4) Should be titled Hipster with the GTA Box art
Step 5) Download and enjoy

Can’t wait to see the new cars. Going to recreate Big Smoke’s Glendale.

Oh, btw, the 6 wheeler Dubsta is on the Warstock website if anyone’s looking for it.

Getting pretty sick of not seeing Heists, actually. Surely Rockstar realizes we’d bother them less about them if they’d just release them like they said they would. It’s almost been a year since release and the most asked for aspect of Online still isn’t here.

I don’t know if it’s just that I’m older, but I found myself getting really bored with GTA online when I was just travelling around the main map. I think the inclusion of heists would go a long way towards actually giving players something to “do” in free roam other than just dicking about.

It’s interesting Rockstar never included heists in GTA V Online back when they first released it. Particularly since they were marketed as such an integral part of the main storyline.

Have you ever considered the fact they’re not ready to be released?

Let me put things in perspective for you: We’re up to eight months and have only seen one status update on heists. That’s nearly a sixth of the time they’ve spent making the game itself, and it’s after they’ve released the game. We’ve already seen one fully functional heist played out in its entirety five months ago and it’s literally no different in format than missions that were already readily available since Online’s initial release, and have seen a steady plethora of content released since then, so from what we’ve seen that we’re supposed to be getting, for this alone to take them eight months is, quite simply, ludicrous. They’re rapidly running out of time to meet a deadline they set not two months ago and have yet to update us on anything they’ve done with it since, but are happily announcing and keeping us up to date on everything that has nothing to do with it multiple times in a row? At this point, we’ve actually had more updates regarding updates that weren’t selling points of the game than we’ve had for an actual selling point of the game. Given how much time they’ve had, what they’ve done with small amounts of it, and the fact that there are already similar components in the game, the complaints are more and more justified with every day we get no word on their status, at the very least.

EDIT: What do you know, heists officially just got delayed again. Meme well deserved. We’re looking at a year, at this rate.

The cuts definitely won’t be anywhere near the millions you received in story mode. Most likely, they’ll amount to the sum of three or four convenience store robberies. It makes sense not to keep the payouts too ridiculously high since the incentive to participate online would drop, but I doubt the heists will be as exciting as the ones in the story.

From the GTA forums (unfortunately, I have little reason to doubt this structure):

Subtract eight steps from that and that’s almost exactly what the heist we’ve seen is like. If you’ve played The Parking Garage, you have experienced a heist. This does not take eight months.

I’m more upset about the fact that Online becomes even less playable with each and each update.

I thought it was bad after the High Life, but after the last one I literally couldn’t play more than 5-6 minutes continuously. As soon as I reach 40mph in any car, the game starts periodically freezing, textures take 3-4 minutes to load, tons of pop in issues, infinite loading screens, general freezing. I’ve tried about 15 times to play just one mission yesterday and haven’t succeeded once.

Most of the time I get an invite, join immediately and get told that the game is full. Then I can wait minutes until the game loads the mission location, after that I can watch my character fall through the map and maybe if I’m lucky, a few minutes later I get loaded back to where I was before stupid me tried to join the mission.

The best one was when I managed to join LOST MC RIP and the mission failed as I killed the last lost member, with the message “A LOST WAS KILLED” failed mission screen popping up.
Other great moments include when the game tried to launch a 4 player mission as 8 people have somehow joined and it froze out.

I really couldn’t give a damn about heists at this point, just want to play a couple missions and dms, maybe a survival or something, but the game isn’t even competent enough now to handle itself.

Sounds like you’re having the same issues I was having after the High Life update, but I haven’t had one since the Hipster update, apart from going bald for no reason. That Lost MC RIP glitch is a well known one, though. It’ll only happen when you start doing objectives out of order. Do you remember if someone killed a Lost member before you arrived at the graveyard?

Nope, there was only one other guy and me, but we both entered the cemetery by the yellow blip, which set the next objective, making the lost marked as red dots on the map.

I’ve deleted my system cache, deleted the game and every dlc and update, reinstalled everything and it’s still the same.

At least I can kick my GTAO addiction and jump on some other game.

Well, we’ve got three free games this month.

I just downloaded all the DLC that has been released since I lasted played GTA:O only for my xbox to finally get an E74 error. I even saw Grim playing and thought I would join in! Oh well

They need to add more map area honestly, I don’t think simply adding new vehicles and weapons will do. If they would fix it, so you could access North Yankton again then that’d be fantastic. Even though it was only a glitch, getting to North Yankton online was awesome. My friends and I had a blast engaging in Sniper battles across the frozen farmlands. Plus having access to the depository and that nice long stretch of road into the middle of town were awesome, I loved having rally races there.

If they added that, I’d pay the $15 dollars for that, it’d be pretty sweet.

I haven’t has any issues since the last update on PS3. The last three survivals haven’t been challenging since they are open areas with no real place to find cover, IMO. Anyone wants to play online on ps3? Add me, user socio13

Should I get Grand Theft Auto V for The Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3?
