H3 Pre-Launch Guide (Progression Carryover)

Ah sorry to hear that. Hopefully it’s fixed soon for you & by tomorrow so I can jump straight in.

On PC it’s not solved yet, right?

Not yet…at least I don’t believe it is.

It’s offered for some price to buy, not for free.
You can buy immediately if you want

Strange to think that a rather small file(s) for progression would overload the servers this much. Then again, it’s probably just the amount of connections trying to be made to the server.

Yes it is. Instead of having less people over a longer period of time, it’s all happening at once and has caused multiple systems to fail.

IO needs to do a full copy of all your data. That is the consequence of saying it will not sync with the progress it comes from.

Sure it’s not…I’m 100% sure that forcing literally everyone to pile the servers at the same time as opposed to letting people in one timezone at a time is totally not putting any strain on their servers at all.

It doesn’t matter! Gears 5 staggered it out and the same thing happened anyway. The BULK OF USERS ARE IN NORTH AMERICA ANYWAY! It’s either crash now or 12 hours from now when it would’ve unlocked for NA region.

Cyberpunk 2077 was a bad launch.

This? This is just maintenance.

So? They’re still connecting to the same IOI Account servers. Doesn’t matter where they are.

And you can’t compare a new Hitman game to Gears 5.

The servers are required for the game itself as much as doing the transfer. It’s not just about the goddamn transfer. They could’ve had that up early anyway and didn’t.

Ah ok…I didn’t know that iOi made Gears 5 and that a full multiplayer game was totally the same as a single player that only required login and some file transfer as opposed to full multiplayer. Totally the same thing those two.

Exactly. Doing them both at once has caused the meltdown.

“No eligible Hitman 2 accounts found”. Ugh.

They don‘t.
And you know that.

Weren’t they going to solve that problem?

is there anyway to fix that?

No, because instead of 100,000 (random number) connecting at 1PM UTC, they might have had 12,000 at 1AM, 8000 at 2AM etc which the servers might have been able to handle.

How do you not understand that if every region launched at their regular time the load would be split far more as many people would have finished their carryover process many hours ago and far fewer would be piling the servers right now.
