Unless they push a update at launch the size should be stay the same. On my Series X it’s 61.79 GB.
This only applies for Disk Copy’s of the game since they don’t have Mendoza or Romania on Disk.

Ok, there is a bit of misinformation here. Yes, IO have compressed the maps - but they could never compress them all the way down to 1MB.
The base game contains ALL the locations, from HITMAN all the way through to HITMAN 3. These 1MB files are like little keys that unlock the data that is inside the 59GB chunk so that you can play them.

Oh good I was really worried there. So that leaves with why it downloaded one version PS4 on Ps5 and a PS5 version? Why 2 with the same identical size?

If you had enabled automatic download for preloading, both the PS4 and PS5 versions were on the list of content you wanted to download automatically. One was at the very top, one at the very bottom. As they were all ticked by default and you just had to push ok, you likely never saw the one download at the bottom to realise you were asking for both.

This is the part I’m feeling lost on. I don’t have these little files. I have the giant chunk and when I go to storage in my PS4 settings I can click on H3, and then click on installed add-one… all that is listed is the trinity pack.

Go to your library and find the HITMAN 3 tile. Then go down to PlayStation Store on the list and across to add-ons. This will show all the add-ons your account owns for the game and they should be there if they’re required. They weren’t where you looked as that’s for what is on the hard drive and have downloaded.
Edit: Removed some incorrect speculation on my part, as the instructions worked.

That would’ve been super disappointing to finally see the countdown timer get to zero and then everything in the game was labeled ‘Get Access’. 
when is their website for carryover going live? and when will the access packs appear in the h2 menu?

All we’ve been told is “before launch”.
I’m guessing they’ll do it 24 hours prior so that way people planning to play at 0sec won’t be overloading the servers with progression carryover and connecting via the game. That way if both the game servers and the progression website go down almost immediately, they don’t have to deal with both at once.
Plus it would mean people can pick up the game immediately at 0sec instead of then going to a website to do the carryover.
