Correct. They never said how many will be released. Yet it’s still not 100% clear even on the link of their website you provided. I had to click on it a second time cuz at first glance I hadn’t noticed the small disclaimer at the bottom.
I’m a hitman junkie and I follow every news and I only discovered there would be more deluxe escalations by seeing the roadmap today. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought these 3 deluxe escalations released on launch were going to be it.
Oh yes definitely a nice surprise. But for me the deluxe upgrade is $35. Not worth the money for only 6 escalations/items. Even though they look like very nice/fun escalations.
Hitman 2 season pass was $40 and you were getting 2 sniper maps, 2 new levels, and 4 special assignments.
No wonder why I missed it if it was only said 5 days before launch. And keep in mind that not every single Hitman buyer will check IO website. Because on PSN store it says nothing about it. And I don’t remember seeing a topic about this on the forum here prior to launch.
I’m not disputing the fact that they mentioned it in the past (even tho I missed it) I’m just saying that it wasn’t clear enough for customers to understand what they’ll be getting for their extra money.
Man, i smiled to see OG Hitman 2 stuff. I HOPE someday, we get level designing tools, that way we can remake our own Hitman Remake, since we’ll have the assets to do so.
Oh wow. Yeah, 35$ seems like a lot for the content in the Deluxe Pack.
Makes me glad that I only paid 15$ on top of the base game at launch for it (there was a pre-order discount for the Deluxe edition). That was way more reasonable.
I know random people have just uploaded all of the soundtracks to YouTube, but in a normal world the three soundtracks would add a lot of value. But yeah… like most deluxe edition for indie games (which Hitman is now, lol) it feels a lot like a tip for the devs that gets you a few bonuses, rather than an expansion pass.
The three escalations we already got were great though, some of the best in the series. They obviously put extra effort into them.
Yeah, precisely how I’m feeling. The DE content does look pretty sweet, but it’s not even close to being priced appropriately right now IMO so I’m happy to wait until H3 generally goes on sale, at which point I’m sure the Deluxe Upgrade pack will also be discounted. Pound for pound, it’s just not worth it vs the paid DLC we had for H2.
True but this escalations are the best ever, better than asignaments, and they always do roadmap not surprise at all , but happy because they are doing what we expect.
This excalations are more close in sensations and feelings from older games.
I want 2 new levels either but the trilogy ends so it’s gonna be difficult play new maps until next Hitman.
I highly recommend the deluxe edition for Hitman old fans
I only recently looked past the difficulty and realized how great escalations are, can’t say I enjoyed this new one that much though. If I used the tranq from the beginning I would have liked it but I’m slow lmao.
edit: but killing gregory, emma, and rebecca all at the same time under one chandelier was super satisfying
For some reason on the front news page at ioi.dk, it will show the roadmap post, released on Feb 4th 2021 as it should, but if you scroll back though there is some glitch where it also shows before HITMAN 3 was even released.
Haven’t been able to find any noticeable changes in the game on PS5 - so I’m guessing the PS5 release was missing some live content data that is already present in the other versions that is set to be released before the next patch.
Though some people on reddit claim to notice that HDR may have been fixed as it previously looked a bit washed out.
