HITMAN 3 - Bug Report Thread

Playform: Steam CTT for Freelancer
Location: 47’s Safehouse
Description: If you click on “clean surface” in the kitchen on the upstairs - the game does not allow you to interact with anything

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Unlock the kitchen’s table
  2. Hold ‘G’ while standing next to the “Clean surface” thing
  3. Once you do that - it will not clean the surface, but will allow you to walk and control 47, but you won’t be able to interact with anything (for example - redecorating parts of the safehouse)

Frequency:
Tested only once, so I can’t really tell

Description: Clothing & Light articting bugs

I just want to report two bugs which are EXTREMLY annoying and distracting.
If I recall version 1 of the game didn’t have these bugs.

My GPU is GTX 1060 6GB, I tried several GPU drivers and nothing helps.

I was playing on Ultra settings without AI image upscalers.

I hope this gets resolved, doesn’t seem like a big issue to fix, but it’s EXTREMLY annoying and ruins game experience.

Description: Light appearing/dissapearing bug

I just want to report EXTREMLY annoying and distracting bug.
If I recall version 1 of the game didn’t have this bug, because when I played it I haven’t noticed it.

It’s not just the crowd which suddenly appears, the objects do to ;(. Looks like render distance was drastically lowered down and now graphical fidelity is ruined.

I don’t understand was this intentional or a bug, but this stuff didn’t have impact on performance at all!!
Last time I played Hitman 3 was a year ago and I still have GTX 1060 6GB I had back then, performance is still the same and those objects popping are so annoying and ugly. This should be fixed!

Description: Featured contracts track 1 progress is bugged. I have the first three tiers ticked off (5,10,15 contracts), but the progress bar has been reset at some point, and now I’m only at 5 (last featured contract I’ve done has completed 1st tier again, gold coin).
Other issue is that progress is only counted when I complete a featured contract on one of the Hitman 2016 locations (Paris, Sapienza, etc). Any featured contract taking place in Hitman 2 locations (Hawke’s Bay, Miami, etc) doesn’t increase progress in Featured Contracts Challenges (neither in track 1 where it should, nor in track 2 which is for Hitman 3 locations).

Description: Cassidy´s suit suffers from the Tropical Suit syndrome and shines like an 80s disco ball. I encountered this in the Freelancer CTT, but it´s in the base game as well.

Is it just me or does santa fortuna have multiple graphics bugs and the opening cutscene is out of sync? Ive mentioned the tattooist but im not sure about this one

Not sure about the graphical bugs (I only know about the missing cloth on Rico’s statue), but yes, the intro is out of sync, as is Mumbai’s. Has been like that for a looong time. Reported it twice already but it still hasn’t been fixed.

Location: Paris (For now)
Description: Poisoning the sushi results in a green vapor hovering over it similar to poisoning drinks. As far as I’m aware this is only happening in Hitman 3 and it looks pretty odd.
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the game
  2. Start the Paris mission as a waiter.
  3. Head upstairs in the room behind the bar. Inside the room is emetic poison and sushi to try and replicate.

I can vouch for the crowd popping in. Usually I don’t care about these things but it’s very distracting in Paris on H3. Went back to Hitman 2016 to and it has no such issue. Maybe they can add a setting for Hitman 3 to increase NPC lod draw distance?

It’s been there since launch, it’s so the player can tell what poison they’ve poisoned it with and stuff, it ain’t a bug

Description:

With Freelance mode coming up I am concerned about the xp-system-bug I had already reported (HITMAN 3 - Bug Report Thread - #2479 by Shelly).

In the promotion video for Freelance Mode I saw there is alot of XP to be earned for certain actions being performed. And Freelance Mode is a campaign mode, so I expect/assume alot of saving is being done.
Would be a shame if all these XP points won’t get added to your total, so this is the reason I will address this bug again.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start up “Another Life” in “Whittleton Creek” and equip the Kalmer for easy takedowns.

  2. Take down the civilian guard silently; make sure you get +25xp for the takedown.

  3. Save the game, then exit to menu.

  4. Go to career and note down the total performance XP for “Whittleton Creek”.

  5. Load the saved game and now take down the jogger silently. The game states you get +25 xp.

  6. Exit to menu, go to career and check the total perfomance XP for “Whittleton Creek” again. You will see that nothing is added to the total.

  7. Even when you fully finish the mission, this silent takedown is not in the mission summary.

Sidenote:

I still think this all has to do with the fact that IOI did not want us to harvest XP by saving the game just before a target kill and then load the game over and over gain to get the kill points over and over again.
I would suggest to allow it now. I mean, when you play the deluxe esclation in Carpathian Mountains, there you can already endlessly harvest XP with multiple target kills in rapid succession.

IOI have always had it so if you were to lets say lockpick a door and get x amount, apon reloading and lock picking the same door it wont give you any xp, it’ll say in grey the door unlocked thing but you don’t get any extra xp

Maybe they can add an option to disable poisoned vapors from food and drinks.

Description: NPC pop in here is really bad. If done for optimization purposes on consoles I can understand, but the draw distance, especially on PC here seems way too close to the player.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the game
  2. Start the Paris mission anywhere close to bar.
  3. Walk around the bar as shown in video.
