As of the latest update Hokkaido’s map still does not display properly. I had hoped that it would’ve gotten fixed given the latest ET takes place on it, but it still has not been, an error in the game since Hitman 3’s launch.
The central Zen Garden area as well as the two sections between the walkways to the left and right of the foyer do not display properly:

Since we’re on the topic of maps, I’ll jump on the bandwagon.
This isn’t a bug, but the place names on the map are white text on a grey background,
making them very hard to read and difficult to see.
Is there any way to add a border to the text or make it larger?
Also, it’s hard to find where 47 is.
In HITMAN 2016, there was an animated dotted circle around 47, making it easy to see at a glance, but that was removed in HITMAN 2.
I would like the location icon for 47 to be a more eye-catching colour like red or green instead of black, or the dotted circle animation to be brought back.

In HITMAN, the map is a dark grey, making it easy to see the ground.
47 is also easily visible as it is surrounded by a dotted circle.

Perhaps to accommodate this, 47 has become black, making it relatively easy to see, but it would have been even easier to understand if there was a dotted line around the circle.
Also, place names are now displayed in 2, but the word “Garage” in the upper left corner is hard to see as it is displayed in white on a greyish background.

In HITMAN 3/WoA, the gray on the map is a little darker and more subdued than in 2, but 47 is now white, making it very difficult to see.
The target names now have a light gray background, making them easier to read.
However, the location name “Garage” in the upper left is still white, making it difficult to see.
If the location names had a dark gray background like the target names, they might be easier to read.
Of these three maps, HITMAN 1 is clearly the one with the best visibility.

The Switch 2 version of HITMAN WoA does not support kanji characters when inputting Japanese.
Normally, when inputting Japanese text, you enter hiragana characters and then convert the hiragana characters to kanji based on the context, but this is not possible in the Switch 2 version of HITMAN WoA.

Description: The game is crashing way too frequently when loading a save or replanning a mission. This has come on all of a sudden over the past few days. I had about 5 crashes occur within an hour when playing today.

- Start any mission from the main story
- Load a save or replan the mission a few times
I hope IO can release a hot fix for this asap. The new Eminem ET will probably attract a wide audience, many of whom will be unfamiliar with IO and modern Hitman. If their first experience playing WoA is plagued by constant crashes and a frustrating experience, it will be a terrible look for the game and company. They’ll lose faith and drop the game very quickly, and by association 007 First Light would potentially suffer as no one would trust the product to run properly.

These are mainly about the translation of items.
I’d like to add that these comments may just be because I’m being overly sensitive.
- The latest elusive target’s “Reflection” is marked with quotation marks 「」.
This is an element not found on other elusive targets.
- The tool item “ICA PROXIMITY MICRO TASER” is incorrectly translated as “ICA近接用マイクロテーザー銃 (ICA PROXIMITY MICRO TASER GUN)”.
I don’t think the word “銃（＝gun）” is necessary.
The correct translation would be ”ICA近接式小型テーザー装置”.
- The following items are enclosed in quotation marks 「」.
It is a good idea to use quotation marks to emphasize a word.
However, in this case, the translation does not need quotation marks 「」.

The POISONS category has three types: “MODERN EMETIC SYRINGE”, “MODERN SEDATIVE SYRINGE”, and “MODERN LETHAL SYRINGE”.
However, these three are translated in Japanese as “催吐毒注射” and “麻酔注射”.
There is no consistent translation: “最新式の致死毒入り注射器”.
If translated correctly, “MODERN EMETIC SYRINGE” would be “最新式の催吐毒入り注射器”, and “MODERN SEDATIVE SYRINGE” would be “最新式の麻酔毒入り注射器”.
However, I personally think that “MODERN” is a counter term to “antique”, so I think it would be fine to omit the “latest” part and just say “催吐毒入り注射器（EMETIC SYRINGE）”, “麻酔毒入り注射器（SEDATIVE SYRINGE）”, and “致死毒入り注射器（LETHAL SYRINGE）”.
Therefore, I believe “ANTIQUE EMETIC SYRINGE” should be translated as “アンティークな催吐毒入り注射器” and “ANTIQUE LETHAL SYRINGE” as “アンティークな致死毒入り注射器”.
Finally.
Some words have been translated into Japanese, but in some cases it would be better not to translate them.
For example, the ET reward version of the “~WITH GLOVES” series of default suits for each stage
is translated as “~と手袋”.
However, since the word “手袋” is strongly associated with cloth gloves in Japanese,
we believe it would be more appropriate to translate it as “～とグローブ”.
Also, the translations for the “Proximity” series are not standardized,
with four variations: “近接式”, “近接用”, “近接反応式”, and “近接起爆式”.
Similarly, the translation of the “DUCK” series is not consistent,
with three variations: “ダック”, “アヒル”, and “アヒル型”.
I think it would be a good idea to standardize these to one of them,
with “Proximity” being “近接式” and “DUCK” being “アヒル”.

That’s right. “MIXTAPE 47” and others used quotation marks even in their English names.
Perhaps we shouldn’t think of these as poor translations, but rather as names meant to be that way.
