HITMAN 3 - Bug Report Thread

Platform: Xbox Series X (Digital)
Frequency: Always
Description: There are several melee weapons that are missing their sounds when you attack an NPC. Depending on the weapon, the animation emits no noise when you hit an NPC from behind with a stealth attack or when attacking from the front, or in some cases, the weapon in question is missing all of their sounds when attacking from any direction. [ STILL BUGGED ]

These are the buggy sounding melee weapons:

Antique Curved Knife
Meaty Bone
Sacrificial Knife
The Black Almond’s Dagger
Handyman Wrench

I tested every melee weapon to find which ones were affected by this sound glitch. In doing so, I also found this super minor grammar bug. The name “ICA Combat Axe” is spelled in all lower case instead of the proper mix of upper and lower case. Like I said, it’s a super minor OCD bug, and the only reason I noticed it was because I went through every weapon to test the above issue. [ PATCHED ]

DESCRIPTION: when attempting to play a contract under Search, Lookup, My History , My Favorites, or My Contracts, ‘ERROR Unable to load the requested menu’ pops up and my game goes offline. I am only able to play contracts from the Trending or Featured tabs.

All these Bugs are on Master Difficulty on PS4 Disc Version playing on a PS5.

I have Mission Stories turns off, Challenges turned off, Instinct turned off, LVA off, Weapon holstered HUD off, XP scoring off.

BUG #1 - The Final Test
This bug is just a small visual glitch when I went to switch the chess pieces. The Rook is on the wrong square when 47 goes to move it. I was dressed as one of the Soldiers.
Not sure if repeatable.

BUG #2 - World of Tomorrow
When I went to subdue Rocco when he was standing on the balcony I glitched out into the street. I couldn’t repeat it but it looked like the angle I tried to subdue him from was the issue.

BUG #3 - World of Tomorrow
After getting Rocco’s keycard the worker’s entrance won’t open when I use it. The entrance from the terrace.

BUG#4 - World of Tomorrow
After knocking out the guard standing outside the Lab Door entrance by the rocks (think it’s only on Master) I dragged him towards the door. While dragging him and used a keycard to open the door and the body jumped back to where I dragged it from. I was dressed as the PI after killing Francesca. I had also killed Silvio before this. Snapping his neck after following the Mother on the rocking chair story thread which caused him to pass out.

BUG #5 - Situs Inversus
Some of the Locked electronic doors don’t make a sound when they deny access. Others do. Happens always.

Possible BUG#6 - Three Headed Serpent
Diana’s audio seems to be out of sync with the opening video for Three Headed Serpent. When she mentions each Target they are long off screen while youd expect that to sync up. Though didn’t know if this was intentional. Always happens.

BUG #7 - Three Headed Sepent
Audio of Rico being eaten by Mijo is bugged. Can’t ear any “eating” sound effects or any splashing water effects. Dressed as the Animal trainer after luring Mijo with Meaty Bone found in Locked Shack in the town.

Sorry there’s not more comprehensive steps but I kind of recorded the clips as I went along and kept playing the game

BUG #8 - Three Headed Serpent
After feeding the Meaty Bone to Mijo I approached Rico dressed as the Trainer. He was giving his tour to the guard and I interrupted him. This cause him to basically just stop and stand still for a long time before eventually following the route towards Mijo.

BUG #9 - Whittleton Creek
Various intel shows up already having been Unlocked/Triggered when you first boot up the level.

Possible BUG #10 - The Ark Society
If you have Instinct turned off in the Options the Blindfolded Musician disguise won’t default to the Instinct mode when you put it on. It seems like it should do this with Instinct turned off but just not allow you to press R1 and see enemies through walls?

BUG#11 - The Ark Society
There is a spot underground where a guard can always see you through a wall. Always happens.

BUG #12 - The Ark Society
A radio in the Architect Floor bathroom doesn’t make any noise when you turn it on. Not sure if repeatable. Was dressed as a Raider.

BUG #13 - The Ark Society
I think there’s a spot where a guard can see through a wall where Sophia’s 2 Raiders are standing next to surveillance system. One time knocking out a guard there, and another disabling the system cause guards to rush in and shoot me. Also, if you notice, when using the Elite Guard costume you can see the top of 47’s head peak through.

BUG #14 - Golden Handshake
A little visual glitch with one of the paper shredders.

BUG #15 - Golden Handshake
A visual glitch with the broken glass on the ground after the Target fell through after I had loosened it dressed as an IT Guy.

Not after opening it, but I’ve since actually went to the facility elevator to unlock it myself. I still don’t have the inner courtyard unlocked.

I’m having the same problem on PS5. Won’t give me the Dune Raider trophy despite having discovered everything.

BUG #16 - Haven Island
The Lighting kind of gets dark suddenly when you chat to the target at the beginning. Not sure if it’s intentional. Always seems to happen.

BUG #17 - Haven Island
There’s a huge delay when you decide to call the number left on your bed after the Phone answers and the characters start speaking - happens every time.

Also there’s a visual glitch on 47’s back when he wears the Swimsuit.

NOTE - This was played on Professional Difficulty with Instinct On I believe.

BUG #18 - Dubai
Weird glitch with shadows when you stand still as 47 and stand near a magazine rack and move the Right Analog Stick

BUG #19 - Dubai
Completely Broke Michael’s scripting on the level. After starting the level during the Regular Starting point dressed in the Diving Suit. Then walk upstairs and make my way towards where his daughter is chatting to Lucy. I accidentally got in Lucy’s assistant’s way delaying their convo and delaying Lucy entering the VIP area. Michael then walked over and triggered him going to talk to his daughter. But then Lucy arrived and Michael was frozen in place from there on.

BUG #20 - Dubai
Carl Ingram walked on the table after being poisoned with Emetic Rat Poison while dressed as a Chef.

BUG #21 - Dartmoor
Finding the Maelstrom objective popped up in Dartmoor when I entered one of the upstairs rooms.

BUG #22 - Dartmoor
Sometime After the Maelstrom Bug a few Similar Objective Marker bugs occur around the Case File in the Safe. Havent’ uploaded videos. But the Objective marker showed up before I even knew it was behind the picture. Then it wouldn’t disappear after retrieving the Case File.

BUG #23 - Berlin
Start the game from the Bus Stop. Kill Agent Price and hide his body. Then went and retrieved a Classic Lockpick from an Agency Pickup. Unlocked the radio tower and tripped the first tripwire. Waited to the side for the 2 guards to go up. Went up and killed them. Triggered the Sniper spotting me. Then the Sniper just walks away from the Sniper Rifle for some reason and doesn’t commence shooting me.

Description: Several exits, like the tuk tuk or boat ones, dont emit any sound. He just mastered his silent assassin and leaves no noise behind.

I had too many connectivity issues on day one so I played Dubai in offline mode. I did not notice any major stuttering then. Next day when I was replaying Dubai in online mode I noticed the stuttering. This is partially what makes me think it’s related to online connectivity.

Location: Everywhere, have encountered it on mendoza, dubai and dartmoor, maybe more
Description: Sometimes there is a very bright light coming from places where wall textures come together. It is very blinding and unplayable. Sometimes it flickers, sometimes it is constant. Encountered it a few times now. Also crashed two times, but dont know if that is related.
Steps to reproduce: Randomly seems to happen at places where wall textures come together. Seems to be solved by reloading the game, but it did happen a few times. Can confirm after having it encountered it on dubai, dartmoor, mendoza, hokkaido, paris and santa fortuna. Seems to be fixed by reloading the game.
Frequency: A few times
Note: have seen a forum talking about it, so I think other people are also encountering the bug.

For some reason the body guards of targets now follow the target right into the toilet when they throw up instead of standing outside. Please fix IOI. Also, this game keeps crashing my PS5 randomly, especially in Argentina. I love this game, so please, PLEASE fix.

Same thing happens in the PS4 version. Laundry equipment is invisible.

location: apex predator mission
There is a body dump manhole buy the delivery drive and if you are standing with your back to the shipping containers or the other solid object close the the actual manhole. When you dump a body it will put you out of bounds or on top of the bricks (image)

its happened every time i have tried it hopefully this can be fixed.

Location: Sniper Assassin Game Mode

Description: Unable to unlock the 4 trophies associated with Hitman 2 expansion pack. Hantu Port (The Pen And The Sword), Hawkeye and Seven Figures trophies. Siberia (Crime And Punishment), In a League of Their Own and Never Knew What Hit Them trophies. HITMAN 2 Expansion in trophies remains at 60% without them. All challenges from the 3 sniper maps successfully carried over. Himmelstein (The Last Yarbird) trophy unlocked fine.

ADDENDUM #1:
After further research and reading other posts from various sources around the internet, another problem exists which I did not notice until I checked my own game. Challenges and mastery levels do appear that they have carried over in all 3 sniper maps, everything is checked. However, even though all 20 mastery levels are checked, the sniper rifle appears to not have the mastery level upgrades, increased scope, increased magazine capacity, faster reloading, etc.

Steps to reproduce:

Start the game
Load Hantu Port/Siberia
Complete with silent assassin
No trophy awarded

Frequency: Always

Can confirm mine is gone as well. Don’t know if this by design or a bug. Hantu and Siberia work fine.

Dartmoor (but also seems to happen in all locations)

When playing the new escalation today, the game completely froze twice within the first ~30 seconds. Nothing had been done except move 47 around the map. No KOs, no items picked up etc. Started from the fast forward back of mansion entrance.
