Speak for yourself. For me, Hitman Absolution is one of the most memorable games I’ve ever played. It has an incredible atmosphere and is conceptually a really great game. Just because someone may dislike it when comparing it to other Hitman games doesn’t mean it’s trash.
Hitman Absolution definitely deserves a remaster. One of the things that irritated me the most was how the locations were chopped into separate pieces. If they merged those sections into one large map, it would be fantastic. For example, the entire town of Hope as one level instead of two separate ones.
I’m really interested to see how contracts will be remastered. There are so many post processing effects that add to it’s ambience. I wonder how they will be translated .
Haven’t posted for ages but I’m super excited for this. It’s always nice having the old Hitman games in updated fashion (and the option to toggle to old graphics is excellent if I’ve understood that correctly).
And as a Contracts supremacist I can’t wait to revisit the Meat King and Beldingfords specifically. Also the underrated Bharkhov’s Bomb which I know is generally frowned at but the snow and ambience is sensational.
Now I just need a decent version of Blood Money that doesn’t force me to also have Absolution on my PlayStation.
It’s cool seeing people exited for this remaster . And hoping in to talk about it’. I also love the bjarkjov bomb mission . The snow effects and scale of the ship at the time blew me away as a kid. Also the idea of disguising yourself as one of the targets was pretty novel
That could be done in certain missions from Codename 47 and H2:SA as well, but it’s still cool for sure and better executed than most of its previous attempts.
I really appreciate the fact that the graphic switching is going to work exactly the same as the Halo remasters did, because I always preferred the OG Halo graphics and I feel like I’m going to feel the same way about this trilogy remaster.
The best part of this? Console players can finally get access to Codename 47 - and us PC players hopefully won’t have to dig into .ini files in order to get these games running on modern hardware.
The most confusing part for me in the jungle missions was how the access to the drug lab in the final mission worked. That frustrated me a lot the first time I played Say hello to my little friend.
I hope they’ll make the distinction between disguises a bit clearer this time and rework a bit the trigger for the “find another place to hang around” line at the lab entrance.
Beautiful, this is what we needed! C47 on modern consoles, im looking forward to see ppl unable do complete it! Now there’s a speculation about BM i’d like to purpose(wich got re-released in 2024) so a remastered is no sense, in my opinion. What about a BM 1:1 Remake guys? Like MGS Delta(i really loved it)?
No. No remakes until the series concludes and IO decides to start over from scratch. Too many game series have been doing remakes lately without having already finished their original storylines: Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and here comes Assassin’s Creed bringing up the rear. We do not need Hitman to join that group. Enjoy the games that have been released so far as they are, a remaster now and then is acceptable, but no remakes of existing games until an actual “last” game has been made. I will die on this hill and take absolutely everybody with me.
