I genuinely like Blackwater Park 
Itâs the one proper Hitman mission in Absolution aside from King of Chinatown, with great atmosphere and loads of fun kill opportunities.
Absolution on the other hand, as much as I enjoy it as a finale, has made it through this round surprisingly unscarred so far 
So yes, et fuckin me. We knew it was gonna happen sooner or later 
I feel that, I was also enlisted into the Dartmoor Defence Infantry, but had to desert my post to protect Absolution
We only need to lose 2 more missions though. Letâs kill Ark Soc and Basement Killing I say 
Well, Ark Society I have a somewhat love-hate relationship with, but Basement Killing is just too dear to me to downvote, even though Iâll likely have to see it go in this round 
the first two thirds of the level are just getting to the penthouse, arenât they? then the penthouse is⊠okay? i guess?
not like blackwater - or any absolution level - should even threaten the top 30 of a best missions thread, especially with that awful what-the-hell-were-they-thinking strip tease section.

Well, compared to the missions that precede it, BP felt like a genuine blessing 
And I actually enjoy the section of getting into the penthouse. There you have a harpoon, whale skeleton, samurai armour, lots of ledges, a sniping point, Uâwa tribe poisonâŠ
Yeah, I mean, I do everything I can to avoid that tooâŠ
Yeah. I know I wouldnât have such a strong attachment to it otherwise
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug 
This round is turning out just as bad as The Great Chongqing Tragedy.
Basement Killing? Really? Pizza boys, firemen, smoke bombs, crunchy chips and an emblematic fire axe kill not good enough for you?
And for what? A murder mystery you can watch on any boring afternoon on some mediocre cable network. You can buy 10-DVD box sets for those detective shows for a very reasonable price if thatâs your thing. They practically throw them at your head.
But itâs not Hitman! From a Hitman perspective this map is deader than that unremarkable plant collector whose murder you can solve by picking up two random items and talking to someone using murder-innuendos only.
Please, be sensible now. Itâs not too late.
which would all be great, if i thought the space it all existed in wasnât so meh. i find itâs a bit of a generic stealth space as opposed to a great hitman sandbox. plus, the target wasnât interesting to play with. itâs all a bit

so out of interest, what hitman did you play after absolution and how did you feel about it in comparison?
Everything you mentioned is nice,but the level is too linear and I am really disapointed that even if you use the pizza boy disguise you still need to trigger the fire alarm to complete the laptop objective with SA. 
Do any of those detective shows have any better moment than the Zachary+case file outcome?

Didnât touch hitman again until 2016, and obviously itâs a superior game. But my loving memories of Absolution remain. I think I just didnât examine the story/characters of Abs with enough of a critical lense as a teenager, so missed all of the absolutely horrible stuff in there. Like I think it was you that mentioned Laylaâs stripping scene in Blackwater. That completely wasnât a part of my memory of the map. Just a massive cringe there 
But yeah, dw I know WoA is better than Abs. Not a maniac

I will not allow one of H2SAâs best missions to fall before one of BM worst good missions (Mississippi, Dance with the Devil and Ammendment are of course the worst)
yeah, that sort of stuff is the other reason i found it difficult to get on with. blood money was pretty bad in that respect too, but they doubled down to an absurd degree in abs.
like, iâm not expecting moral guidance from hitman of all things, but equally it doesnât need to feel exploitative.

You need to think ahead, Death in the Family could potentially fuck up your Favorite mission in the Finale.
But itâs going to die anyway either here or in the next hit. I canât wait for the moment it reaches 0, which is when I share âWe Are the Championsâ alongside some dance gifs.
