Seeing The Lee Hong Assassination with such a low score so early in the game has ruined my day, but I can’t find the energy to fight the hate.

Only The Jungle God is kinda lame, bhlut its over so fast that i can ignore it.

Why should i waste my time trying to teach you Peasants the beauty of Codename 47? Its pointless, like trying to explain the beauty of a singing Bird to a deaf person.

Overrated?If you had a better understanding of the rating system and of the game mechanics in Contracts I am sure you would realise how great The Meat King’s Party is not only atmospherically,but gameplaywise too. :slightly_smiling_face:

We might be a bit blinded by the new graphics,but you are blinded by nostalgia. :wink:

been a while, but the first half is definitely better than the second. it is one of the better absolution missions, but that’s not really saying much.

  • it’s a very narrow and confined field of play disguised to appear larger and more complex than it is (an issue throughout absolution - see attack of the saints)

  • it has relatively limited options for engaging player imagination compared to most other levels in the series (an issue throughout absolution)

  • while it’s graphically nice, i don’t like the colour palette or art direction in the area compared to, say, hunter and hunted.

  • it has some of the most painfully uninteresting targets in the series and lacks any kind of compelling in-level narrative to unravel.

it would rate higher for me if this were just a competition focused on absolution, but in terms of its place in the franchise, it’s not a finalist imho.

As I said on previous round, I personally don’t like The Meat King’s Party. One target doesn’t move from his bed (very few methods to reach him) and I feel its atmosphere as “exaggerated”.
It’s like horror movies, I think it is more disturbing when you keep a “regular” world instead of having a continuous stream of blood. That’s why I prefer the atmosphere of WoA missions. Closer to reality, closer to a common situation.
Not a popular opinion I know, but that’s mine.

+1 for Another Life - because I keep my way of saving WoA missions, even though it means for me to “kill” beloved missions from previous games. As I said, my votes are based on my replayability over the atmosphere/story. And though I like previous Hitman games, I play them less than WoA trilogy.
