I’ve said it before (don’t we all know) and I’ll say it again - the participation of ‘WoA-only’ voters in this competition amounts to a WoA death cult which makes a mockery of the whole process.

Before this final even started, I could have told you there is essentially no route for a WoA map to win (unless the WoA-only voters chose to cast their votes in tandem to support one map).

To be clear, I’m not backing a WoA map to win this final myself - as evidenced by my voting record. But I stand by my view that WoA-only voting makes no sense and isn’t healthy for this competition.

The only solution I can envision - if and when future editions of this contest are played - is that we will need to separate it out into two championships: the World of Assassination Mission Championship and the Classic Hitman Mission Championship.

It does? Because, while I might agree on the idea of it perfectly capturing the feeling of being in a hotel better than any of the others, I don’t think it captures the feeling of being an assassin better than, say, A House of Cards or even Bangkok.

Or… maybe the WoA crowd could put in the extra effort in the meantime and play the previous games? (harder to do with C47 given its platform exclusivity, but at least now MrOchoa can press for a remaster further on the basis of this competition)

I think this unspoken desire came from such great levels such as Traditions of the Trade (both editions) and levels like A House of Cards. So far nearly every Hitman game featured a hotel level. Its almost a tradition ( )

I’d like to take this opportunity to say I’d like a cruiseship level for the next Hitman game. Another hotel level but this time a little more creative.

I don’t think it captures the feeling of being an assassin better than, say, A House of Cards or even Bangkok.

There is also 25 years of pure love for this. Yet it’s still what defines the series for me, it was here it all started. I do feel that it’s a plays better on the assassin fantasy then Bangkok, but that is more to do with the stilted and awkward design of said level.

I been an active member since 2011, lurking since 2007. Through out the years , a great hotel level has always been requested. With time this request has taken a bit of a decline, however with every Hotel level released since it’s always compared to Tradition of the Trade and how the majority falls flat. As a arch type level, one cannot deny that the hotel level is a very requested type. Sure an airport is also often requested, yet such an level has never existed.

And yes, this is all my perception and there is no hard data to support any of this. Just like it’s also just your perception.
