IĀ“ll admit itĀ“s a matter of personal preference (duh). I love this mission, it oozes with atmosphere (Vegas!), has fun sniper kills, bomb kills, infiltration, a very movie-like feel to it, options to move aroundā¦ As someone whoĀ“s into the slower-paced immersive gameplay, I have no issue with the waiting. Heck, itĀ“s definitely a better hotel mission than Bangkok! I definitely consider it a worthier BM representative in the finals than TDDUP. But yeah, of course I wouldĀ“ve loved seeing ANL hereā¦

I genuinely downvote TotT because itās my least favorite mission from the final group. I donāt say itās a bad mission. The main problem is the old gameplay mechanic of C47 (I know, Iāll shock some of you).
I have recently the pleasure to play all the Hitman games on Steam that I didnāt play yet (C47, SA and Contracts). Indeed, I made my opinion on the missions.
My vision is probably (and surely) skewed because I played first the WoA trilogy. As I said, the stiff mechanic and the atmosphere of some missions made that I had a good time, but I wasnāt impressed as much as I was when I first played Hitman 1. Will I replay them, probably. But not now.
Moreover, I didnāt play them when they frst initially released. So, I donāt feel any nostalgia on these titles. I donāt have much love than you and MrOchoa can have on them.
I aknowledge that my downvote against SHTMLF was encouraged by the attacks against ANL. It was childish (I apologise), but I felt the impression that people downvoted it because itās overrated and not because they consider it as a bad mission, which isnāt the same for me. But my donwvote was also directed by the fact that I donāt love this mission as it occurs in a jungle camp in the middle of nowhere, far from what I expect (being in the middle of a public event and make its way through it). In a way or another, I would finally vote against it.
I understand why persones like (love) these games. But I prefer the last entries, mostly for the gameplay mechanics, the replayability (not numerous ways to reach the target silently) and the atmosphere.
Itās the final, we have to make choices. We have to remove points from mission we initially donāt want to. When final was launched, Iāve already my ranking of downvoting. And Iāll keep it. But it seems that the winner wonāt be the favorite mission but the most neutral mission.
I accept the downvote if a person doesnāt like a mission I love. We donāt share the same vision of a game and donāt have the same approach/nostalgia to them. Sometimes we like/we donāt like for different arguments that can be obscure for other persons.
But downvoting only because thatās the preferred mission of othersā¦ it looks like a kindergarten. Iām pretty sure youāve better arguments that that.

I am aware itās childish and petty, but Iām also aware that itās completely harmless, otherwise I wouldnāt do it. This is a water balloon fight. Shots to the face are encouraged.
And there might be a bit of strategy underlying it all, who knows
Either way, The Showstopper will not win if itās up to me. As long as thereās at least one other mission I like more in the list, and right now there are plenty, I wonāt have any qualms downvoting it. On the other hand no other mission than ToTT really stands out in a big way for me, and the purtely rational approach of looking at a personal ranking doesnāt really work for me. So why not let me guide myself by emotion, of which wrath can be one of them? So while I have other reasons to downvote, Iām allowing vengeance to be a big part of it because when else do you get to do that?
I just thought Iād give you a fair warning before itās too late, you can still turn this around by downvoting some other mission you like less than your favorite one. Make it part of your considerations aside from that ranking you made for yourself. @IlikeHitman and I struck a similar deal.
it has been a while, but i donāt recall ahoc really leveraging the atmosphere, and it especially falls flat in the blood money context of contrasting surface superficiality vs rot underneath. i dunno about the sniper kills either; it felt very boxed in, even compared to c47 and h2:sa examples. it just doesnāt have anything that makes it stand out for me.
i think tddup is a pretty good level, personally (though murder of crows is far better than either), while bangkok at least has one of the franchisesā best in-level psychodramas going for it.
