Hitman World of Assassination - 3.270 - June 2026 Patch Notes

This doesn’t really clarify. Does that mean you can’t access the locker anymore, or is the chair completely moved so you can?

Was part of the old draft. Switched it out.

This is the amazing poster btw!

Seconding this, i also think the Hitman 1 and 2 theme options should replace the mostly silent IOI opening with the music stings that played during those game’s openings

For example: in Hitman 1 a sort of snippet of the 2016 theme played as the game booted up, but in Hitman 2 an entire opening segment of the menu theme exclusive to the boot up played

I also think the sound effects for achieving challenges in HITMAN 1 are the best.
It was truly a shame that this sense of accomplishment disappeared in HITMAN 2 and beyond.

THANK YOU IOI!!! This was a feature I would want a lot! Thanks for making this true!
Time to play WoA with my beloved Hitman 2016 music!

What you definitely won’t be able to miss is yet another batch of bugs I ran into while playing the Elusive Target and doing the new challenge. Another low-quality patch that broke more than it fixed

Another thing i just thought of: autocrouch toggle and bringing back manually saving loadouts (maybe with multiple slots per mission)

Where it’s available?
Freelancer Safehouse “radio” or digital soundtrack from IOI Account? @IOI_Artjoms

My biggest personal pet-peeve bug is actually that one of the crowd NPCs in Marrakesh is awkwardly up on the platform and clipping through the guy with the megaphone. But I’ve given up on that ever being fixed. But at least they fixed a typo in description of the “Casino Monarchique” chip!

Oh, forgot about that one for a while. Ticks me off as well. Yeah, the priorities are obviously elsewhere… One can only hope that now that 007 is finally out, some additional resources might be allocated to actually fixing WoA…

All of those fixes and additions would be good, if they didn’t include a really nasty and gamebreaking bug on top of them

As of now, poisoning food and drinks is an illegal action even when wearing the appopriate disguise, it’s broken.

Really annoying bug, how do you roll out an update and not notice this?

There also seem to be disconnecting errors when using small smuggle points

Reading over the full patch notes and I didn’t find anything about the fatal error on Xbox which makes the game lock up on an endless “failed to fetch profile/configuration” error message anytime after playing an ET whether it’s a regular one or Arcade. It’s been happening since the Harbinger dropped and it makes the game unplayable, with the only tentative fix being completely wiping your data from the console and cloud and hard resetting the console, which is a less-than-ideal solution only spared by unlocks and progress remaining unaffected.

I for one am all for 47’s acknowledgment of food safety and realizes his misdeeds finally getting Serv-Safe certified.

Even Hitmen can grow.

A concerning development- hidden stashes appear to be broken with this patch, and send you straight to Offline mode if you try to select them (Agency Pickups work fine, however).

I for one am all for 47s recent character development of no longer needing to be a global pack rat and finally cracking down on his hoarding situation.

people can change, even 47.

Yep, this update doesn’t have 1, but 2 gamebreaking bugs, how cool is that?

There’s this problem with small smuggle points triggering errors on menu

And then there’s the problem that makes poisoning food/drink an illegal action regardless of your disguise, thus breaking the game

IO can’t catch a break huh. How is it that they always manage to break more than they fix with each update. Is there some sort of quality control going on? How are such egregious bugs not found and fixed before release?

This is so choice. I have been running a mod for years that swaps to the H2016 main menu music - because it is just objectively the best one and I will fight to the death anyone who says otherwise.

Oh, looks like I have to make another post. This one not so positive:

It’s been just over a year since the Freelancer softlock bug was introduced in an update and now we’ve got another patch that’s overshadowed by buggering up the core mechanic of being able to poison things when wearing the right disguise.

I know games companies are infamous for being bad at automated testing (special mention for Wube who are fantastic at it) but this seems awful.

A lot of things have happened that people claim “break the game” and I’ve often seen it for the exaggeration that it is, but this one is not. This is literally the game not working across the board on a key aspect of its gameplay. This is serious case of IOI fucking the dog.
