I ain’t sayin’ he a gold Digger.
Lookin’ good!
If the movie starts out in a spooky isolated cabin then gradually gets freakier as we get into Raccoon City – maybe it even ends in an Umbrella lab, whole game-like progression arc? ![]()
That shot with the arms coming out of the door - oh hell yeah
So, following on from the previous Jumanji movie’s ending, we’re getting Jumanji in the real world again in an homage to the original, cool.
But the trailer also shows that they go back into the video game, and the Jumanji gang gets to play even more outlandish roles? The Rock playing a white woman? Huh. ![]()

Seems pretty solid. Funny just how much mileage they can get out of the “these actors are playing different people” concept!
Ramayana (2026) isn’t just an Indian production—it brings together some of the world’s top filmmaking talent:
Hans Zimmer (Oscar-winning composer – Dune, The Dark Knight, Interstellar) – Background Score.
A.R. Rahman (Oscar-winning composer) – Songs & Music.
DNEG (8-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio – Dune, Interstellar, Inception) – Visual Effects.
ReDefine – Global VFX partner.
Terry Notary (Avatar, Avengers, Planet of the Apes) – Performance & Action Choreography.
Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa) – Action Director.
Ramsey Avery (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Marvel productions) – Production Design.
Atlas Entertainment (Hollywood studio behind The Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel) – International production partner.ma
The film is being positioned as a global cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, combining Indian storytelling with Hollywood-level music, action, production design, and visual effects.
Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic and a sacred text for millions of Hindus. It narrates the life of Lord Rama, who embarks on a journey to rescue his wife Sita after she is abducted by Ravana, the powerful king of Lanka. Ravana is portrayed as a brilliant scholar and mighty ruler whose arrogance and misuse of power lead to his downfall. The epic symbolizes the triumph of righteousness over evil and teaches values such as duty, courage, loyalty, and devotion.
Looks cool. Can’t say I’m a massive watcher of indian cinem, but the couple of movies I’ve seen (War and RRR) have been very enjoyable, so I might give it a shot.
I recommend watch Dhurandhar part 1 and 2. Indian cinema now has a pre- and post-Dhurandhar era. War (YRF Spy Universe) are entertaining but far from realistic or good storytelling/presentation. Indian audiences are shifting towards grounded, subjective storytelling, and Dhurandhar has raised expectations massively.
RRR comes from South Indian cinema, known for strong storytelling and presentation, especially music and dance—though realism often takes a back seat to spectacle.
Pre Dhurandhar (rating fell from more than 7):
Post-Dhurandhar: Alpha — apparently copy of La Femme Nikita. YRF does seem to have a habit of this - it had a rating of 1.5 at the start.
Fun fact: Dhurandhar features creative Agent 47-style assassinations. It also feels reminiscent of Hitman Mumbai map’s Dawood Rangan, a fictional character seemingly echoing the name of real-world gangster-terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Much of the film is inspired by true events and incorporates real footage.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this movie (available on Netflix now) it’s easily my favourite movie of the last five years.
Ooo more Ramayana
(Keep in mind I am not Indian or that experienced with Indian cinema. Is the trailer being 4 minutes a normal thing there?)
The last Ramayana adaptation I (tried) to watch was Adipurush, but to be honest I didn’t really enjoy the movie. I’m also not sure why they changed everyone’s names for that movie too. The reception might be different in India but I prefer the old Japanese Ramayana adaptation from 1993.
Also, I have to be honest, I think the trailer was kind of awkward. Not exactly sure why, but I think it might have something to do with the pacing (Ravana overthrows Kubera / Vaisravana, Vishnu reincarnates as Rama, Rama trains with Garuda’s nephew(Jatayu?, Sorry I forgot his name), Kaikeyi tells Dasaratha to exile Rama, and so on). It just feels like a beat for beat retelling of the beginnings of the Ramayana I guess?
It was really cool seeing a lot of the familiar characters though. Ravana looks great, that’s it. I might be wrong but I think I saw Airavata (and maybe Indra though Airavata was so big I barely saw Indra) and Kumbhakarna during the closing moments of the trailer.
Music sounds great, and Hans Zimmer was unexpected.
That’s probably my thoughts on it though. I don’t know too much about Hindu mythology and philosophy to be able to make sire everything is accurate and stuff, but I’ll probably still be curious enough to watch it.
Also I disagree with the Ramayana being the greatesr story since even as part of the Itihasas the Mahabharata exists ![]()
Yes, I agree with you. Adipurush was a complete waste. It already received a lot of negative feedback, and I left the movie halfway—it was that boring.
The Japanese adaptation of Ramayan was an absolute cult classic. This new Ramayan trailer is still not quite up to the mark, but let’s see how they bake this cake when the movie is released. ![]()
I’d suggest not wasting your time on poorly rated movies—or video games, for that matter. IMDb is the only review platform I generally trust: 7+ or skip. ![]()
Or just DM me with your preferred genre, and I can suggest a few good ones.
Mahabharata is still one of the greatest and most complex epics ever written. The story is so vast—with countless characters, intertwined storylines, politics, philosophy, and the Kurukshetra War—that doing it justice would probably take at least 3–4 movies. The real question is whether any filmmaker or producer is willing to take such a massive creative and financial risk.
I cannot wait for this movie, I’m taking a trip downtown next weekend to see it at one of our city’s independent theatres. I love Gillian Anderson, I love slashers and slasher history, the use of colour looks exceptional, and it looks quite frankly really sexy. I haven’t been this excited for a film in a while.
New trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. Yeah, I know, it probably won’t be good. But it scratches that itch for hype moments and aura. I love Doom’s design.
Also revealed: the Bluey Movie!
Coming in August 2027!! Omg yesss I thought I was gonna have to wait till December 2027!

Also they’re 3D now, but I like the fuzzy style they kind of have
This movie only needs to do one thing right to be considered a success, and that is to show a portrayal of Dr. Doom that actually feels like Dr. Doom. If they pull that off, the rest is fluff and filler. So far, from this alone, they appear to have nailed it.
