Need For Speed Series

Aw, sounds like a lovely reunion between Razor and his car. I’d like to see him wearing his iconic tank top in those pictures. It sounds like him and the script writers were having fun recording those lines in the game too.

A pretty damn cool retrospective article on the series’ 30 years, its longevity and its reinventions.

End of Kaizen

NFS Unbound will no longer receive updates as the remaining Criterion team has been shifted over to work on the next Battlefield game

RIP Criterion.

Another shallow grave in EA’s shady little spot off the highway.

Well then I suppose we won’t get to see this franchise’s revival anytime soon. If I remember right, back when EA handed NFS to Criterion to develop Unbound, some of their team were also assigned to assist DICE to develop Battlefield 2042. So I am not surprised here.

But anyway, 2025 is not a bad year at all for racing genre. We’ve got Assetto Corsa EVO, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Wreckfest 2, and Forza Horizon 5 making its debut on PlayStation. So perhaps it’s a good year for NFS to take some rest. I believe we will eventually return here to talk about the next installment when it gets its announcement. :slightly_smiling_face:
