New Elusive Target: THE DISRUPTOR (Second Run: November 15 - December 8 2024)

This makes sense now you put it like that. Like you say, Quinn could have been reinstated, however, in terms of the story and where things ended during Untouchable, him being there definitely leaves a few scratching heads.

Hey guys

For those who haven’t seen it yet, my Silent Assassin playthrough of The Disruptor Elusive Target is still available to watch on the topic:

Playing it also live tonight through Arcade Mode on twitch:

I hope you’ll enjoy, cheers :sunglasses:

I just logged in and saw that I still had 13 days to play The Disruptor… I decided to play The Badboy first, and now it says I missed my opportunity!

Yeah they just took him out of the game

Ah, thanks for the quick reply, great timing from me lol.

Good riddance too. I just hope they remove the image card, and all mention of him.

As a long time MMA/UFC fan I was surprised when IOI took him on to be honest, those allegations have been widely known about for a long time.

Everything seems to be deleted, even the paid DLC.

Hopefully, the current top suggestion of reworking it as a generic ET to allow the content to stay can be implemented. Shouldn’t be too hard to remove the tattoos, change the face a bit, and have one of the half-dozen VAs they used for every other character to redo his lines.

I hope that deleting the Arcade with him in is because they will eventually rework the mission and bring it back, or at least compensate people for removing something they specifically paid for.

the paid DLC still works

Yes. The DLC is still online but for some reasons was moved to right.

he’s been shoved to the end of the list

Shouldn’t there be an infinity timer on that? Maybe add a complication that says “if you start up this contract you will immediately fail”.

Well, I’m glad I haven’t missed my chance. Looks like we are not getting Busey with that decision back (which is fine by me).
Tho I hope they rework both of these to be eventually replayable. Just ask one of many VA’s this game has and have them revoice the targets. Or have Gary Cole be The Wildcard, even tho he lost.

Well no, if you’ve paid for the DLC content, they’ll probably keep it there. I do hope they offer a refund or a copy of the next CelebET for those who bought it. The latter sounds better to me (especially knowing that it’s coming soon).

I’m glad they’re doing this, but they also shouldn’t have worked with him to begin with.

That said, they should probably do what most here want them to do with The Wildcard and just redub and change the likeness of the Celebrities used. The DLC itself didn’t depict the asshole, so once he is stripped out and replaced then everything can return. Because I imagine they don’t want to do refunds.

They could just redo this entire Elusive Target DLC by removing Conner McGregor, aka “The Disruptor”, entirely and replacing him with Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock”.

Just get an Irish voice actor (to make the shamrock cane from the DLC applicable) and make a custom character (like non-celeb ETs). We don’t need another celebrity. Maybe also change the colours of the actual gear the target wears (and 47 wears in the unlock), as those are McGregor’s colours.

Perhaps, this one?

(He’s not actually a voice actor, he’s a Twitch streamer, but it’s a close enough skill set that I bet he could do it. I’m not 100% serious… but I can dream, right? )

If IOI ever reskins him I hope they go full on Saint Patrick mode and give him a Leprechaun hat to match the beard.

Can anyone link me to a video that shows off the “rule of Second/Replacement” opportunity in the mission? The one where you take Tim Quinn’s place by confronting him directly about it.

I chose not to do the scripted fight/didn’t know about the chat option with Quinn the first time around, and well obviously missed my chance to try it this time, so… yeah.
