Yes he is. There is just no link to the content in any of the menus. The Elusive Target is fully still inside the game.
If it does turn out to be an MMA superstar, I’m curious why MMA though? Obviously IOI need to get whoever it is to agree and sign up, but MMA seems very specific?
I mean if IOI had a choice, why not go for Keanu Reeves (John Wick) and have a spectacular 47 vs Wick exclusive. Surely that would be a money maker?
He might have been on their list of people they were interested in, but I guess there is a possibility that Keanu’s deal with CD Projekt RED for the Cyberpunk DLC released last year contains a restriction as to what part he can play in other games for a certain period of time?
Not to mention Keanu is probably leagues more expensive as a celebrity guest than any others we’ve gotten so far.
Personal pipe dream i guess
At least this time the announcement of who is involved is less likely to be followed up with a resounding “Who?”.
question: can console players play the mission without mods? can vanilla players play the mission?
you just reiterated what i said
You said he isn’t in the game, which is incorrect. There’s a difference between not being in the game and not being accessible. Your original post didn’t refer to it being accessible or not.
Nice try though.
I mean, if it’s an MMA fighter who isn’t Connor McGregor, the chorus won’t be much less resounding…
He was in that remake(?) or whatever of Road House that’s on Amazon Prime.
distinction without a difference. if i say a dead guy “isnt on this earth anymore” pointing to his coffin isnt a counter-argument
The last time we had an extravagant showdown with a Target in a Hitman game ( Not counting Absolution since the New Trilogy is modeled after Blood Money imo.) Was in Hitman Blood Money with Maynard John. Perhaps almost 20 years of precedent has convinced me that IO will not ever include a target like John Wick into the game without it being utterly dissapointing. Not their fault either the game is not an action shooter game its a stealth puzzle game.
That’s a good surprise to find out about.
I don’t know exactly how to feel about IOI courting DJs, and MMA fighters. I know it’s right for the demographics for a game called HItman, but still. That is if it’s not due to company culture in IOI management.
To be more honest, I actually know how I feel about it, I side eye it. Heavily.
But new ET, yay!
I wonder if on what map it will be. Especially if they continue embracing the WoA approach, and make it in one of the H2016 or H2 maps, or keep to H3.
The Rage briefing had a brief shot of a makeshift ring in the dancefloor/spent fuel pool. I don’t hope for Berlin to be reused again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the two ETs end up connected.
I agree, I’m not interested in either the DJ or MMA scene and I’m not sure either is a great fit for the series, but I imagine these more niche avenues of celebrity are probably down to available budget and if IOI had big publisher money to spend then they’d have options from more mainstream disciplines.
If 47 was hunting down one of Denzel Washingtons many badass characters, or Leon the Professional… that would be awesome! I agree that the Celebrity picks have been kind of lackluster and leaving much to be desired.
It’s gonna be one of those Paul idiots. Which one isn’t even a real fighter? Jake Paul. I bet it’s him.
Oh God, at an MMA fight in the near future there’s going to be a weird video silhouette of chubby 47 saying “I’m coming to get you” and everyone in the audience will be scratching their heads going “dafuq is this cringe shit”
And how do you feel about actors?
Who would you suggest for an Elusive Target to be among the famous people?
It doesn’t matter if the celebrity ET is very famous…
What really matters is the mission content, and how it plays out
I’ve noticed that we’ve always had special elements included in those Elusive Missions like dialogs or events.
Anything is possible!
Yeah, no clue who the DJ guy was but that ET was cool because of the level change and unlockable outfit. Wish all of them were unique like that.
