I played S6 last nigh. I really wish the Veteran and his wife had a route that took them up to their hotel room. It would make the route super long, but it might give some life to the level. Basically the only fun part was listening to all the dialogue to piece together some of the story.

Isn’t it weird that his codename is “The Veteran”? Like, they where all together in the same military unit and committed warcrimes, so aren’t all of them Veterans?

Yes and another is called Mercenary.

He’s the only one who’s retired though so maybe he was older? He doesn’t appear to be too much older if at all. He’s in good shape still. No hair but I went to school with a kid who was bald by 18 so that doesn’t matter.

I know if I took 10 Million USD in gold in the 90s (23M in todays money) I would be retired for sure.

So, first of all, everyone’s allowed to change their minds in this game and you don’t need to ask for anyone’s permission before doing so.

Secondly, if you would like to know my reasoning, I have decided - mainly after reflecting on @Silvereyes comment about the Sniper Missions being more original and high-effort than most of the others - that it might be fair for all Sniper Missions to get a place in the next round.

This requires another mission to be sacrificed which I previously suggested should survive. For me, that’s either A Bitter Pill or The Controller. And, on balance, I see greater value in A Bitter Pill. So, it’s logical for me to back one horse over the other in what I see as a two horse race.

Unfortunately it’s the nature of this game that, from time to time, levels we love will be eliminated. If everybody was to get “angry” each time this happens, the atmosphere in these threads would become rather sour, don’t you think?

And that’s not to say The Controller is destined for elimination! By all means, continue upvoting it. And, if others agree The Controller is a better level than, say, A Bitter Pill, I would encourage them to vote in favour of The Controller as well.

May the best levels survive!
